Lets hope this storm blows over
It is looking rather bad
Its really so alarming
When nations get raging mad.

It only takes one foolish move
And all we need is one
Lives could be in Danger
And our planet could be gone.

Looking at the papers
And hearing all the news
It's really not surprising
Why folk drink so much *****.

No need to speak of dooms day
We have heard it all before
Then in these times of warfare
The enemy's at the door.

This storm it may pass over
And it could happen in a flash
Then the fear of it passing
Is the chance it may come back.

Lets hope the nation's all see sense
They have so much to lose
They know the consequences
So what road are they going to choose.
Sometimes we can't help but worry about the stability of this world
With so much friction between nations.
There used to be a bottle on the wall.
It was very green.
I'm sure it was the loneliest green bottle
that I had ever seen
It used to sit on the wall
all day and all night
And every day, when I looked out of the window,
it was always in my line of sight
Then one day, a cat came along.
Something was going to happen; I could tell
The cat then accidentally nudged it
and off the wall, it fell
When it had fallen off the wall
it had dropped with a very loud sound.
There were all these little pieces of the green bottle
all over the ground
Then the cat yelped
and I knew it had gotten hurt
I could quite obviously see its paws were caked in
blood and dirt
The bottle wasn't harmful in the beginning
it did not look the slightest bit treacherous
but after a nudge in the wrong direction
it became very dangerous
Now I look back at you smiling
next to me on the big armchair
Your fingers running through your soft locks of hair.
You remind me a lot
of that green bottle.
In the beginning, you were harmless
you were all sorts of fun.
Now you hurt me.
Could you tell me why
as I don't quite know what I've done
O' heart, I wonder how
you can store
so many different
emotions of ours
in just thy four puny
chambers
while pumping away the
liquid of life

O' heart in you we
discover love
but side by side you can
harbour hate
In you we find the
emotion of happiness
but side by side you
simmer rage!

When you cease to beat
many plans you thwart
May God protect the
young human heart.

And while some O' heart
you hold dear
some make you skip a
beat in fear!

O' heart but we find in
you as well
the vile emotion of
jealousy
Such a potpourri of
emotions in you dwell
Help filter out any wrong
ones for you and me!

A mere four chambers
indeed, but spacious are
they
Invite therein
whomsoever in the
world you may

But in the end forget not
to reserve
atleast a single chamber
for its Creator, to
preserve
The creator of hearts
More than that deserves.
I feel I am getting older
Full of aches and pains
My body keeps on telling me
I will never be young again.

I used to be a drinker
I admit I drank too much
But now I'm reaching seventy
I hate the blooming stuff.

Now I am on the Doc spot
Every day I attend the gym
Although I feel I'm losing weight
I will never be nice and slim.

My wife and I walk our dog
We take him out each day
He chews and sniffs at everything
I won't tell you what I say.

Youth they say is a flame that burns
But I feel my flames gone out
Now if you were to see me
Well I'm nothing to shout about.

I wonder how my wife does cope
I'm beginning to repeat my words
And when I try to tell her things
She says I sound absurd.

So I guess I'll have to face the fact
There's no more climbing hills
For me its the downward spiral
So I'll carry on taking the pills.
A soul pens stories...
Some in written form,
Some etched in heart.
All become masterpieces
in journey towards enlightenment.
inspired by Ben Noah Suri A gifted poet Thanks
The cherry trees dance while blossoms fall,
as if heavenly angels have come to call;
And willing winds fly through dogwood trees,
their leaves dotting landscapes from the breeze.

All this occurring in a dream-filled land,
of poets and prophets in glory's stand;
And gardens overflowing with daffodils,
waving yellow flags from giant hills.

The glancing birds fly off to greet,
in sunbursts' skies of colorful treat;
And rainbows curve their way to gold,
a cherished gift for both young and old.

Delicate as the blossoms may be,
their worth is greater than that of the sea;
While continuing to shed fragrant melodies,
and reviving sweet springtime's reverie.
Our planet begs for mercy
There's fear of it going boom
The end of all humanity
Sorry for the doom and gloom.

Let's not ignore the warnings
It is written in the stars
This planet it is crumbling
From pollution and our cars.

We have to stop and wonder
Doesn't have to be that way
No need to make those blunders
We still can save the day.

Don't wish to sound alarming
But the facts are clear to see
Humans keep on harming
With increasing hostility.

They say that times are changing
In some ways for the best
Then the balance could be hanging
If we completely ignore the rest.

So never forget our mother earth
And the struggles she's  going through
Lets notice her for all her worth
There are things that we can do.
Rather a topical subject of late.
