In the greenest of our valleys
  By good angels tenanted,
Once a fair and stately palace—
  Radiant palace—reared its head.
In the monarch Thought’s dominion—
  It stood there!
Never seraph spread a pinion
  Over fabric half so fair!

Banners yellow, glorious, golden,
On its roof did float and flow,
(This—all this—was in the olden
  Time long ago),
And every gentle air that dallied,
  In that sweet day,
Along the ramparts plumed and pallid,
  A winged odor went away.

Wanderers in that happy valley,
  Through two luminous windows, saw
Spirits moving musically,
  To a lute’s well-tuned law,
Bound about a throne where, sitting
  (Porphyrogene!)
In state his glory well befitting,
The ruler of the realm was seen.

And all with pearl and ruby glowing
  Was the fair palace door,
Through which came flowing, flowing, flowing,
  And sparkling evermore,
A troop of Echoes, whose sweet duty
  Was but to sing,
In voices of surpassing beauty,
The wit and wisdom of their king.

But evil things, in robes of sorrow,
  Assailed the monarch’s high estate.
(Ah, let us mourn!—for never morrow
Shall dawn upon him desolate !)
And round about his home the glory
  That blushed and bloomed,
Is but a dim-remembered story
  Of the old time entombed.

And travellers, now, within that valley,
  Through the red-litten windows see
Vast forms, that move fantastically
  To a discordant melody,
While, like a ghastly rapid river,
  Through the pale door
A hideous throng rush out forever
  And laugh—but smile no more.
We are now like a radio out of tune emitting static
The message is unclear it sounds out of tune, now everything is out of synch
It makes me think that maybe everything was an illusion
I am left with confusion
I am left with I should have or should not haves going through my head
and think of what I wish I had said, while lying in my bed.
The big picture is unclear like a fuzzy picture on an old TV
I don't want to give in to negativity, it might mean the end of me
I know have a friend mad at me, and that further hurts me more
I have to implore for the sake of peace just let me go
I am reminding you of the old cliché if you love something set it free
It might mean that we were not meant to be
I need to be free to fly either way
You can wave goodbye as I soar across the sky
I'm begging summer
Can you please stay?
I don't want to go back to that place
I feel so small
Even walking down the halls
Just get to class
You'll be okay
Hoping that the teacher doesn't call my name
Just a hello
And I panic and look away
When lunch comes I don't want to eat
So many people I can barely breathe
Help me summer
I wouldn't have to feel this way
If you would just stay
Not looking forward to the anxiety that comes with going back to school
Enjoy the silence
She said in a whisper
As the room kept getting dimmer
Enjoy the silence
They said as they fought her
Enjoy the silence
She said when she got hurt
Enjoy the silence
She cried in her pillow
Enjoy the silence
She repeated as the silent noise
Consumed her
Today's barren tree is tomorrows fruitful harvest
live life expectantly
