I S A A C
underneath the covers, no worries of lovers
too busy focused on the uncovering of all my budding flowers
of all my seeds sproutings, if spirit is allowing
springtime is my favourite, it's a fresh start
to be better and bigger than before
to pick yourself up and wish for more
so I will wish for more, more than men who are decor
so I wish to explore, a man not plagued with internal wars
one that is not afraid to see what lies behind the door
one that is not afraid to let their heart pour

sandra wyllie
her hazel eyes
beneath the mascara lies
a pool of brine
enough to pickle a memory
to dine on past reverie

Underneath
her golden locks
beneath the curls
lies a wily old fox
that hunts with a trotting gait
and dangles smiles as her bait

Underneath
her puffy blouse
is a woman that lives to grouse
about all she can't rearrange
and a life that sees little change
And still the lovers in the park
hold hands
and laugh among the daffodils who
light up their path
as the birds sing their lovers song
They catch each other’s eye
and smile, that lovers smile
walking among the great Oaks, Hazel
and Cherry blossom
teasing the senses
of every lover’s breath
a gift from Mother Earth
And still the lovers in the park
hold hands

how much can i stand
to lie down alone
cusping and gripping distractions
to hopefully randomly fall into sleep
instead of stay awoke to the gnawing sense of one heartbeat?

like liquid seeping into the well of my soul. the stagnant bayou waters that wish to deny my will to go on. infesting pathogens familiarizing itself with me only in own weakness in a muddy stench. how does one find again their love when its lost?
the impression on my chest need be filled with some one.
else my arms tatter in under-use and famine.

Whenever
my eyes touches her
and return to me
it
gave me a new
energy to my life
as like
whenever the rain returns
to earth,
it brings with it the things
of the air...

I love him
I tell myself
I know that
We will be together forever
I don’t believe that
We could be separated
My thoughts tell me that
He’s the love of my life
Sometimes my heart lies and says
I could live an eternity
Without him
Like my friends say
“We’re perfect for each other”
And you can’t tell me
He’s not the one.

Tell me this!
How can you cage a bird
When you fell in love
Whilst watching it fly?

Vale Luna
(read forward, then backward, line by line)

I ran.
Not knowing what else to do
There was so much blood on my hands
It was mine
The kitchen knife
Caught in my chest
Guilt
Consumed by
Fear
I was heightened by
Adrenaline
But running on
Wasn’t enough
While trying to stay calm,
Losing control
It was me that would end up
Dead. Because
He was
In front of me
The whole time
It was too late
Trapped
I found myself
Locked in chains
My fate was
Death.
Forward: from the victims perspective.
Backward: from the murderers perspective.

This TOOK ME FOREVER TO WRITE

I’m angry at inspiration.
It breeds expectation,
And don’t you know that expectation
Is happiness’ enemy?
