Pick the lock on this old heart
Would you?
I've thrown away the key

Into the foam
Where the towers fall
Just over the edge of this most dramatic me

Would you batter it down
The old barred door
Let the oak tides crash for an eternity

As you hear the churning waking sea
So it consumes the sound
Of a splashing key
At The Edge Of The Sea
Saying goodbye
To someone you love
Is like reading the final page
Of an amazing book.

As the last chapter ends
You begin to notice
Just how beautiful
And perfect
The plot always was.

You appreciate the joy
And even the pain
As you read and thumb
Through every page.

Finally understanding
The moral of the story,
You realize you've reached
The end of this journey.

Although the last sentence
Is the most difficult to read
Another great book awaits
Once you turn the final page.

Eventually you may stumble
Upon yet another great find.
Or maybe you'll return
To the book you left behind.

You may just discover
Once all is said and done
That this particular book
Was your favorite story
All along.
I don’t know if you’ll ever read this, but if you do, I love you. I’m sorry, and maybe one day our paths will cross again. Till then, farewell and I wish you the best.

reminiscing in sweet memories
savoring the laughter, cheeks
sore from laughter
and hearts flushed with
warmth and desire
and with these memories
often leave a bitter edge
a yearning for it
when it's all not
quite
true
Please, let me show you what I see in you.
I love you, Sabrina.

Things get broken
Hearts
Minds
It's no-one's fault
It never is
Not really
Butter fingers and distraction
Without malice or forethought
Things
Like hearts and minds
Slip
And shatter on hard contact with reality

Nostalgia is a swamp.
Swim.
Don't drown yourself in it.

Love is not selfish
Not jealous
Not boastful
Not proud
But kind
Patient
And loud

You said you love me
Yet you envy me
Come think again
Is it really love?
