love games the icing
forlorness is not a sin
longing not the end

somewhere out along
the edge of sometime
before never

is that one you call
fall asleep to dreaming
of

that one light gleams
her eyes seek yours too
amidst the dark

the withering blues
the false facade of hopelessness
just raise your head

one day calm those needs
find her in the
clouds the breeze

she is there real
real as any dream
you seek

call to her
she is
listening
have you heard the wind
the trees rustle
the wings fly by
the sea roar
watched the mountain
and wonder
sink down
on your knees
knowing this is life
the end the beginning
we are no more
than a bird a mountain a tree a leaf
a wave crash on the shore
a shell
maybe a sunrise
or a moon on the horizon
but nothing more
some believe in the deity
others in the sanctity of self
I think poetry is a religion
a soul unto itself
not a god
but close
and I seek her his its
calming words
wisdom
to get on my knees
and worship
every night
alone
here
in my sanctuary
like any
true believer
You
Million Dollar Paintings
First Edition Books,
social gatherings with the affluent,
wine in the magnificent moon,
stroll in the bluish beaches,
I tried all,
I left all,
for I met you
and you were my answer
to the surrealism I was seeking
and the salvation I found
What becomes of a woman in rage.
Who can't stand being hollow anymore.

Like cigarette smoke from her mouth
her sorrows only get so far out
until they disappear.

Not enough echo for anyone to hear.
i dreamt that i liked you
my heart pounding on my rib cage
like a prisoner aching to get out of a cell
you looked heavenly

i dreamt that i kissed you
your lips dripping sugar
and some shimmering powder
i could have sworn was fairy dust

i dreamt that i loved you
i let you into my heart with
my hands shaking waiting
for my undoing, but it never came

i woke with your name in my mouth
you heart beating in time with
the inevitable unrelenting force
of truth,

that you loved me too
