The daughter of the village Maire
Is very fresh and very fair,
A dazzling eyeful;
She throws upon me such a spell
That though my love I dare not tell,
My heart is sighful.
She has the cutest brown caniche,
The French for "poodle" on a leash,
While I have Bingo;
A dog of doubtful pedigree,
Part pug or pom or chow maybe,
But full of stingo.

The daughter of the village Maire
Would like to speak with me, I'll swear,
In her sweet lingo;
But parlez-vous I find a bore,
For I am British to the core,
And so is Bingo
Yet just to-day as we passed by,
Our two dogs haulted eye to eye,
In friendly poses;
Oh, how I hope to-morrow they
Will wag their tails in merry play,
And rub their noses.

The daughter of the village Maire
Today gave me a frigid stare,
My hopes are blighted.
I'll tell you how it came to pass . . .
Last evening in the Square, alas!
My sweet I sighted;
And as she sauntered with her pet,
Her dainty, her adored Frolette,
I cried: "By Jingo!"
Well, call it chance or call it fate,
I made a dash . . . Too late, too late!
Oh, naughty Bingo!

The daughter of the village Maire
That you'll forgive me, is my prayer
And also Bingo.
You should have shielded your caniche:
You saw my dog strain on his leash
And like a spring go.
They say that Love will find a way -
It definitely did, that day . . .
Oh, canine noodles!
Now it is only left to me
To wonder - will your offspring be
Poms, pugs or poodles?
As I open the door to leave,
I glance up and down the street
until I spot you, your black silhouette
contrasted by the light post , watching me.
You’ve been there every night for weeks,
always just as I am leaving for work,
the graveyard shift at the diner.
And you follow me, from across the street
the entire four blocks from home to work
and then, you disappear until morning.

My co-workers amuse themselves over this.
Some say you are a stalker, others say you
are a secret admirer but too shy to say “hello”,
one claims that you are merely a figment
of my imagination; they laugh and chuckle
while I nervously work my shift, wondering
Will he come in tonight or will I just see him
when the dawn breaks?
  And sure enough,
just as the sun begins to peek over the rooftops,
there you are, across the street, all in white now,
sitting on a park bench, watching and waiting.

Tie the anchor to the rope of my umbilical cord
Cut me out, throw me in, and forget your pirate sword
Race to the finish without a helmet on
One moment I hold your hand, the next you’re gone

Alligators creep out of my skin
And leap out with a sinister grin
Smoking trenches of orange peel trees
Nothing you live is all what it seems

In one night, I may travel the world
See the death of a soldier
And the life of a bird

In one night, I may float on the sea
Have a cup of this delectable tea
If you think, I am unable to conquer him
Give me the sword, I will defeat the dragon

One evening can be purchased
With a well thought out plan
Steal away all the riches
Run as fast as you can

If you thought I could cure your disease
I would sleep and you would drown in front of me
Is it true, my own thoughts are reality?
Living two lives is not what it used to be

(I am who I want to be)

Sleep encase me
Boy embrace me
Pills and pills and pills and thrills
Smoke that bowl
Snort that ****
Shoot that junk
But if that's it
Walk away
Hang your head
Go back home
Get into bed
Don't wake up
Just don't sleep
Wine and time
Make stomachs weak
loved you once
love you still
always have
always will
My partner in crime
Always on my mind
Who I can talk to for hours with no words half the time
My anchor at sea on a ship with no sails
And the will to keep rowing where my strength may fail
While I am with you I am fearless of heights
You make me feel loved and prompt me to write
When you speak - I don't listen
I breath in your words
Exhale, look up and see a new world
One with promise
A future shining bright as the Sun
Simply knowing your Love means the world to just one
As we drink up these moments
We're running from time
Staring into your eyes
I glare back into mine
Fly north on your wings while your heart becomes colder
When we are to meet again, we wont be different - just older.
So if you ever are lonely in a town with blank faces,
Look up at the sky and count the stars in their places.
For you can bet God I'll be counting them too.
Although we may be apart, I am always with you.

Destination unknown, I follow your lead
With eyes closed and an open mind
An empty heart that needs filled
My love for you is blind

No imperfections do I see
You are everything that I need
I understand that God made no perfect man
Yet you are as close to perfect as can be

Put aside your outer glow, what's inside is what I know
What I know is true to be
The beauty there is beyond compare
And it is all this heart can see
