Will they pull the plug on me and
leave me out to dry?
or perhaps they'll stick a knife in me,
but they won't get me to die.

They might hoover up my blood and
**** out all the good, but I'll return with
acid in my vein and let them try again,
but they won't get me to die.

I'm thinking knit one, pearl one,
drop a ******* bomb on them.

Free love never got me there,
it never got me anywhere,
never paid to get laid,
oh *******
let me call a *****,
a *****
I never got a *****.

Did you notice it?
the reference to a non-word.

Absurdity
becoming me and me
becoming
absurdity.

It gets to be a drag at times,
making rhymes and **** like that
which makes me sound a gangster type,
don't you think?

Okay,
silence I can deal with
cook a ******* meal with,
but ignorance is neither heaven
nor bliss.

Kiss of course, the Blarney stone
take a ****
smoke a bone
mix up
fix up
finally to crack up and
the beauty leaks away.

N Paul
He plods with heavy steps
Laden down by the memories of brighter mornings
When the curtains would open to the Sun’s ****** rays
Striking his face with glowing force
Knocking him from his sleepy perch
Sending him tumbling, smiling
Through the giddy fall of day.

On his way he passed bright things.
Things that make him want to risk the fall
To surge forth and cling onto this shining view of fields
Caressed by a teaming blue ribbon of fire.
Or that tinkling, joyous, feminine giggle
Heard as the heat of an afternoon
Of early summer presses on his back
The throng of a crowd surges about him,
A million island universes all striding about their tasks
The comforting presence of all that strong, purposeful flesh
Swimming in never-ending eddies around him.

His mind may scream ‘Reach out!
Grasp at this shining moment, this fickle mote
For it is rare and precious!’
But the fall cannot be stopped.

Should he succumb he is left spinning downwards
Watching, through clouded eyes, this glowing thing shrink
As it passes noiselessly upwards
His back burning and his limbs
Nearly pulled from their sockets.
And he mourns, until he catches the next glimmer
And his eyes fill with light once more.

No, he discovered long ago that all things turn to smoke.
It is better to sit back in comfort and watch with a lazy grin
Than squirm and flap and curse your way to the bottom of the fall.

The bottom. As the glimmers fade, it comes into view.
And the youth, at monstrous speed, would strike this bed
Of black feathers, sinking deep into their fluttering embrace
And several times, as one, they fling him up,
Til he floats back down with ease
And comes to rest
And waits to wake once more.

Closed eyes
Open a dark secret space
Moments go by, and
You've forgotten to breathe again.
You're trying too hard again.
Your fears are blinding you
From the light life around you

Remember the things you've forgotten
You couldn't forget their haunting
If you neglect them
You'll grow weaker (they'll win)
If you forget them
You'll only move slower (now run)

All your dreams you wish would be
They could free you from this reality, but
You've forgotten to breathe again.
You're trying too hard again.
If only you could see
You don't have to change a thing

Your fears are binding you
If only you would drop that pack
You wouldn't have to panic
If you neglect them
You'll grow stronger (you'll win)
If you forget them
You'll move faster (now run)

Just breathe the light life around you
Just see the truth that is you

I closed my eyes today to try and calm downbut I noticed I wasn't breathing. I was stressing out about some things. Once I drew my next breath it felt as if I could feel all the air in the whole room. I felt like I was in a pool of thick water. I'm guessing this sensation came because of the release of stress and the new oxygen released into my blood, but it was such I beautiful feeling. This poem doesn't do it justice, but it was the best I could do...
