Where lonely camels roam, dunes in darkness lay
And myriads of stars glow in disarray.
Solely the morning star, lone wanderer, shines bright
And thus illuminates this dark Arabian night.

As the gleaming eye of heaven rises in the East,
wake the weary nomad and his weary beast.
And as it reaches zenith, the heat burning the flesh,
they reach their destination: the vibrant Marrakech.

Explosion of colors, spices galore
Sold on bazaars selling infinitely more
A snake tamer plays his tunes in a trance
and the dervishes do their habitual dance.

And with every turn, every swish, every sway,
Unfolds like a dream the Arabian day.
'Til the sun sets again in this wondrous land
To darken once more the kingdom of sand.

The amateur poet
A morning bird calls
And the sun rises in search of the wonderful music
Light pours over the dark world
But instead of finding the source of the noise
The blinding light peers into a secret world
Built by two lovers deep in the night

Two awake from a blissful dream
And realize they've been exposed.
The sun continues to rise
The bird continues to sing
And the two lovers get separated
In their blinded stumble
Abandoning the place that was secret no more

The sun begins to burn their fragile skin
And tears well up in her eyes.
The forest offers her cover,
And in the shadows she collects her thoughts
Allowing for emotions to build.

Nothing can rebuild the safe place they shared,
Not even a river of tears can bring back the night.
Not even a broken heart could bring him back.
And as her world falls down around her,
The vengeance she craves is soon satisfied.

The sun stopped searching for the sound
And the world fell silent

Walking away under the setting sun
The morning bird sings no more.

Shiver
Heartless, and numb to the thought.
Love, an emotion that gave me anxiety,
It crushes me, inside was lies, every since that day.
Too scared, too tired- to try again.
Too nervous to **** up. Scared to get clingy and scare you off.
D i s t a n c e - I pull away because you're too precious to me to get get close.
But I'm so in love with you. But I'm so scared to mess up.
So instead, I'll hide. Not from you, but the idea of being with you.
