Sometimes you forget how to live cause you've been dead for so long
You put your personality in a shed, you couldn't get out of bed
Everything you said, was lead, it dropped to the ground
It wasn't heard by the herd, like you never were around
Makes you want to pound the ground, make your presence known
Cause you're invisible till you pretend like you're wearing a crown
In this town, you gotta be someone you're not, just to get around
That's the kind of vibrations you need to feel, the kind that make the world feel sound

But am I just being loud, or am I actually down?
I can never tell, that's why I'm vigorous
Carry the thought over a couple-a-cigarettes
Or more, try to hit the subject in the core
Get caught up in the question of love, find myself in lust instead
Calloused by the alcohol that's why I feel so dead
Can't ever deliver if I'm thinking about my deliverance
From evil, send me a message so I don't have to deal with these questions
Sick of treading water, wish I could just make some sense

Call me a pope, because life's full of inquisitions
But I feel more like I'm just trying to cope
Or maybe my life is just a test disguised like a lesson
How will I ever know if I'm just stuck on replay, never to find out my acquisition?

"Well it's not me, it's just my decisions"
If you're gonna keep the blueprints then why aren't you building your way out of this prison
Looking up at that glass ceiling is hard to do when it's transparent
When the only thing you've got inside of you, is the only thing that's chilling
Meant to be read fast.

Thato
I live in a constant fear of what I might lose tomorrow.
The thought of waking up one day and everything I thought was worth living for is just taken away like that.

I live in a constant fear of losing who I truly am while trying to chase my happiness.
I fear that one day I might look in the mirror and not recognise who I am.

We say that times have changed
Yet the issues in the news
Remain the same
Three Muslims shot
Over a "parking dispute"
Yet the media news
Can't get to the root
Of the hateful crime
Committed by a brute
Too busy reviewing
Fifty Shades of Grey
While unjust crimes
Are carried out everyday

And why do we let ISIS
Receive so much fame?
And why is it that every
Muslim is to blame?
Associating a belief
With violence and terror
But it is among us
Where you'll find the true error

Using religious excuses
To **** off God's creations
Manufactured missiles
Sweeping entire nations
Thousands dead
With nothing left to gain
And those who survive
Are left with terminal pain

Seeing tears in the eyes of a mother
Her son buried deep
By the prejudice of another

How far will we go
Until we see the wrongdoings?
Cuz once a life is gone...
There is no undoing

Segregating humans
By religion, ***, and race
My beliefs may be different
But I am no disgrace

We classify ourselves
With things like melanin
As if our destiny
Is determined by our skin

Ignorance causing our vision to be impaired
Can't accept the unusual
Cuz we're too scared
Too scared of the truth
So we hide behind lies
Too scared of being left out
So we wear a disguise
Morphing ourselves
Into what is accepted
Turning into clones
Fear of being rejected

But it's time to wake up
Time to accept
The difference in our land
Time to end
The suffrage that is at hand
Time to unite ourselves as one
Time to put down the weapons
And put away your gun
So join me now
To spread the love
And to silence the hate
Our world may not be perfect
But it's never too late.
Decided to incorporate a few more lines to this poem.

"Mankind must put an end to war, before war puts an end to mankind."

Meliss
I'm writing
In a dark and twisty effort
To get over you

Unfortunately
I don't think it's working

Sunburned skin
Tired eyes
Makeup wipes removing smears from a long day,
Revealing pores and freckles
That represent
Too much time in the sun
And not enough skin care.
And that's okay,
Because underneath all that makeup
Is proof of an exciting childhood,
Happy summers,
Golden rays on golden days,
Full of life.
Full of fun.
Full of memories.

You dream of the perfect fairytale
Yet mickey and Minnie wear a mask
"Let me see thy face", snow white
You wouldn't dare look in the mirror
Oh Cinderella, you can only have love if your clothes fit.
We should have stayed in neverland
