The days eyes open

In the field her heart finds peace

  Petals all around

The crushing weight of uncertainty
Can certainly be
The end of me
But why lie beneath
The lies and heat
We've lived and died
In subtlety
You're ripening
Now it's time to see
Him playing for pipe and string
He's not the type to sing

Hanging from the rafters.

some nights
my heart aches so terribly
i can feel it
in my eyelids
begging them to close
to escape for a few hours
of peace.

Odd Odyssey Poet
As I,
Once lived;
On great mountains;
Making not a piece of sound.
And    in    my    dying   moments,
I lay silent in a bed of pretty flowers.
I’m crushed, with my skin of shaded brown,
Now  a part of the Earth' ground as it  erodes.
In the wind, I whisper whisperings of my time,
A  forgotten  season lost in winter,  and  life.
In  a  forest  filled  to  the  brim  of  dreams,
Parked       underneath        the       shade,
Once      guarded,        and      unafraid.
And          what           a         shame,
Soon      I’ll      be      gone
With     the     wind,
Forgotten

go to bed
and think of me

soft hair
like plushie fur
skinned knees
full of dirt

hair pins
and winter chill
watching the moon
climb over the hill

i feel safe
when i'm with you
please don't leave
like the others do

guy scutellaro
the red glow of her cigarette.
the fingers of her left hand
yellow  with nicotine
clutching dying flowers

"buy a rose for your lover," she says,
"buy one for your wife. buy 2."

"the flowers are wilted."

"maybe it's your eyes that are wilted.

she had black hair
black as the night
the violent night
and gray eyes
the shade of ***** ice

"you must love
someone,
some of the time, no?
put a rose on
your father s grave, then."

"love is like lost pennies
falling from a broken jar."

she smooths her hair with one pale,
long, fingered hand, "you re crazy."

"my mom says so."

i was born to
have adventure

I followed her up the steps.

i was born to chase the night
through the forest
of dead roses.

Yeah, the blues they is a feeling,
keep stealin’ my good soul away.

I got no way to catch em,
them blues, they sneaky that way.

Now my good soul is gone,
an somebody gotta pay.
