Sometimes you have to label relief
To really be able to feel it
If you don't know what it truly is
To accept relief in your life
Or even be able to give relief
To someone else
You can never start to heal
Until you can label
And identify
Relief
Relief is a shiny spring
The homework is done, and the pressure
and stress is flung off
Like the kid on his pogo stick.
Relief is a shiny spring
Morale, once low, now high,
Pushed up by the spring of relief.
Relief is a shiny spring
Life, once tied down, now soaring,
Flung off like an aircraft catapult
By the spring of relief.

I fell apart, and all the pieces were lost at sea.
But slowly each day these pieces I retrieve.
Some are damaged and some are worn,
and some have managed to weather the storm.
They will never recognize this new me,
as these pieces go back so differently.
And I recreate this masterpiece.

He was the pen, and I was the paper.
His words rained over me as he spilled his ink. With each stroke of his pen he wrote poems inside me.

The blackbird sings let freedom ring.
It’s difficult to fly with broken wings.
The burden of hatred bears heavy,
for only sadness it brings.
It’s difficult to rise as the fascist pendulum
swings.
With her heavy heart and tired wings;
In the thick of healing the blackbird sings,
let freedom ring.

The naked truth is always shy,
But, oh my,
She is so beautiful.

The Untold
The only friend I hug
When am lonely
Is my pillow.
She knows my tears
My dreams-
That never come true
My happy times
My silly smiles when he texts
Or sings.
Now she knows my depression
All the things am doing
That I shouldn't be
That give me temporal comfort.

Sorry pillow, am lonely
everyday.
#depression #sad. Rough poem. Real one coming up soon.
