We Are One

There's a place on the edge of existence. A place that exists outside of the dimension of time.
I imagine I'll meet you there again, in the future. In our purest form, raw energy, when we break free from the chains of physicality.
Nothing from "before" that moment will matter. Although, there will be no before here, no present, no after. Just a moment that exists independently from these concepts.
Only in a place like this could we truly be free. A place where petty disagreements and foolish bickering are inconceivable.
Where the differences in religious beliefs, political thought, opinions on race, gender, and sexuality mean nothing.
A place without hatred and fear.
I don't think it is in our nature to hate, some may disagree, but I think such negativity can only exist in the physical realm.
After all, what were we prior to taking this form?
In the beginning there was nothing, only a single point that could be perceived as complete and total unity of every molecule in existence.
Then suddenly, maybe due to intervention from some omnipotent being, an explosion ripped this unity to shreds. Rocketing molecules light years away from each other, never to be whole again.
Let us not forget that we were this oneness.
We were this collection of molecules, coexisting together in an empty void.
I dream that I will meet you in this timeless place, that we will forget all the ideals that have divided us and remember this one simple truth, we are one.

You don't see me
In human shape
But
I am inside you

She was pure
and untouched;
like the first
crystals of snow.
He painted her soul
with his color,
and left her
forever stained.

You must begin early
while it is cool and your head clear
discernment, a sharpened tine
probing the rocky darkness
for all things latent and destructive.

Be aware that the velvet sage
of the leaves belies their power
to take over every space, remember
roots burrow deep, anchoring in
fissures we don’t even know exist.

You must delve as close
to the origin as possible
or the **** you think eradicated
will bide its time, germinating
in the still secret ground

waiting for light
to penetrate the moist earth
waking the sprout
who voraciously pushes up and out
a curled blemish

in your otherwise carefully tended garden.

I will
write love on her arms
so many and so deep
that it courses through her veins
and into her
heart.

I will
write love on her arms
so she can stop hurting
even though she loves the pain
which is the
hardest part.

I will not
stop loving her,
even if she lets me go,
because through all of this
I'll let her know she is loved
by everyone she knows.

I will not
abandon her in her darkest times of need
I will not however
be her knight in shining armor
gallant and proud
on a strong new steed.

She will not know that
this lowly peasant
comes from a nothing more
than a small house
with nothing to call my own.
Where the hardest part for me
was finding a different dial up phone.

So she walks,
so she talks
and seems okay,
but as her friend
who loves her so,
I want her to walk away.

From the pain
the sadness,
the misery,
I want her to walk on her own,
and far away from me.

I am her crutch,
but I am not her life,
and alas poor Yorick,
she is not to be my lovely wife.

But still I shall
keep her lifted up, safe from all harms
if only for a chance
to write love
all on her
arms.
