'There is, at midnight, a swoosh,
a backward sound
unheard at 6 o'clock.
Time licks the moment,
the bells, the knock on
tomorrow.

We amaze
as dawn asks for its
audience and our last
guesses fade into
today.

Nascent trails
of memories rise and
fall

into the rescue mission
the sunlight brings on
feet of clod.

It will be a day of reaching
into the pocket of love
newly incarnate.

You
receive me.

The voice, the bell-yellow
voice of the sax plays on.
Under the mind like a layer
of canvas lie the brushes
and strokes, the arms and legs
of memory.  The arrival on the
skin of sound is the moment
of love.  The unfurling of
the pallette.

You say, listen, the wail of
breath on brass is mine.  No,
it is yours.  The voice, no
longer alone, even when
unaccompanied, falls from
the blues of evenings or the
reds of afternoons, approaches
with footprints in sand.  We
are castled in music, our
colors unfurled.

Our fingers on the keys.  We
see the archetype of design in
the sound of the sax, the
movement in the fabric of
stripes.  The sound’s colors
draw us to each other.
Listen.  The wail of breath
on brass is everywhere.
Listen.

"Did you know someone told me?
A friend of mine said... Do you know about so-and-so?"

You know what? I don’t care.

Before you assume I’m the person they talk about, ask me first. Confirm it with me— whether it’s true or not.

Girl, if you don’t want people thinking your character’s cheap, don’t be a backstabber. Don’t be a gossip. Stop spreading lies that aren’t even true.

If you think you gained something from my life, then sana all. Should I start handing out study guides and questionnaires? You seem to know so much—almost tempting enough to knock you down a peg.

And for those still clueless about their own lives, just ask your neighborhood gossip. They always know more than you do.
SANA ALL- loosely translates to "I wish everyone had that" or "Lucky you, hope everyone gets the same" in English.
If you never Stand up
Show everyone who you really are
If you never give it a try
Then how will you know?
WHAT IT’S LIKE TO REALLY BE ALIVE!
Put your self out there
Plant your feet firmly
And say to the world Excuse Me
Could I have your attention please
I’ve got something to say
Come on
Don’t put it off till tomorrow
Do it today
Courageousness is the way
Don’t be afraid
Say what you gotta say
Earn their respect
It’s not that hard
This is your show
You are the star
Stand up,
Let everyone know who you really are
What you’re all about
It’s never enough to just stand up.
You should always try to stand out!
Use your voice,
Be loud,
Be proud
YELL!
SCREAM and Shout!
You’ve got this
Don’t chicken out!
This was written as and piece to inspire someone with being afraid of public speaking, and not being too confident or sure of themselves. Thank you for reading.
If I have just one more day
I will fight forever
Give up nothing
Till the end of my days come
I will not be afraid
I will never turn my back and run
This is the path chosen for me
I may break but never be done
Courageous
I will have faith where there used to be none
I will fight for me
I will be strong
This cancer cannot bind me
Cannot beat me down
It’s shadow will not dim my light
Until I’m 6 feet in the ground
With every single heartbeat……….
I will rise up and defy all odds
I will fight until forever
If I have just one more day
Cancer *****!
I was diagnosed with stomach cancer on April 10, 2025. Until the call from the doctor, I believed it was never going to be me, I thought I cannot get cancer. Little did I know cancer does not discriminate. It does not look at your race, gender and especially age. I am only 48 years old and I have cancer.. It is still sinking in, but this poem is how I feel about my diagnosis and my journey, I will fight until the bitter end. Cancer will have to take me kicking and screaming, dragging me all the way. I am resilient, I am strong, I want to live! Please help me if you can with my cancer journey, it is not cheap to get cancer!

#CANCERSUCKS
The sky spills liquid gold across the fields,
and every blade of grass hums a bright song,
ripples of honey laughter swim through the air,
as the trees burst into wild, kaleidoscopic blooms.

Clouds skip like stones across a sapphire lake,
the wind flutes silver melodies through the valley,
and the mountains wear crowns of glittering flame,
grinning, howling, singing at the top of their lungs.

The rivers are ribbons of melted stars,
the earth quivers with candy-colored sparks,
and hearts—oh, hearts!—
they pop like fireworks in a velvet sky,
sending ripples of giggling stardust everywhere.

Every breath tastes of spun sugar and sunlight,
every blink unwraps a prism of newborn wonder,
and my soul—my soul!—
is a thousand kites soaring, shrieking, bursting,
carried far beyond the hills of happiness.
To love
is to risk
can you
such afford?
I'm never
a philosopher
only a life-observer-
the former I don't qualify for!
Pride is everywhere
Comes in many forms

The rich man is proud
of what he has
The poor man is honored for having less

The talented are proud of what they do
The less talented are proud of their hard work

The religious are proud of their religion
The unbeliever proud of his unbelief

The established man is proud of his social status
The counter-cultured proud to be outcast

The learned man proud of his intelligence
The simple man proud of his simplicity

If thre is a universal sin would not pride be the first

God hates the men of pride
He thinks they are the worst
Those
Who have
the most to say

Usually
say the least
