I will forever drown in your love
As we rot away on our couch
In the home we built together
Surrounded by our treasures
Our slice of paradise
I blow the new dust
off the old dust ,
the dust that remains forever.
I told her ,
"You steal my time
and my money ,
my house and
all my integrity .
But you will never steal my heart ."
Hope.
Strength.
Love.
faith.
All intertwined,
In our daily lives.
Bravery.
Pain.
Hate.
Shame.
All connected,
For you to find
So don't,
look at this blind.
Control.
Friendships.
Safety.
All things we look for,
In our world.
So keep fighting,
Each will come.
It might take it’s time,
So well your waiting,
Hang out here!
And chat and write,
It’s also my type of fun! :)
i found out
some time ago
if you want to move fast
you must first do slow
after awhile
pick it up a bit
just make sure
you never quit
even when
times get hard
and you know they will
it's in the cards
take to heart
this timely notion
never quit
your forward motion
no matter if
it's fast or slow
hang on tight
and don't let go
there is no secret
to this life we live
don't concede
and never quit
ribbons of rain
curtain across the pond

in a chorus of stones
touch tapping the surface

unspooling in ribs of circles
within the trees

time collects in rings
roots seek the deepest mysteries

at the water’s edge
a heron

that ever seeing eye
stands searching for the shadows of fish

in a flash
its beak trades life for life

empty yourself         of this world
empty yourself         into this world

you will be                warmed & welcomed
you will be                feathered lightly along

trading this for that
a skill a stone

beads for fish
a song for dance

fire for ice
silence for words.
When your voice
Escaped the clutches of the night
I held on tight
In vain

Your eyes that hid under the curls
They've become traces of you

To a girl I once knew
You're only a memory away

what am I good for
if I'm lost — adrift like a
cloud that holds no rain

And when you cry, we will
weep with you.
But not for pity — not grief.
It is for triumph.
You made it.

True?
Applause.

Your hard work, finally,
paid off.
