I’m still staring into space,
I’m looking into another place,
A place where life is fair,
A place that isn’t anywhere,
It’s a different time that I see,
A time that never was or will be,
I feel things that I can’t feel here,
I feel things besides sadness and fear.
Don't term the fate unkind
leave your bad memories behind
and make a start
with a mind
which is refined
The rains came and I was washed away
The grit, the dirt, and the tar
All the unclean parts of myself
Were swept in the downpour
Drifting like flotsam away from me
And then the storms came
Thunder, crashing and lightning, bright
I was struck with that forked spark
and when the haze passed
I was lit up. I was golden.
All the darkness had burned away
I doubt
material wealth
means anything
in the afterlife
on the off chance
that I'm wrong
bury me
with my books
and my plastic owl.
Didn't expect to find
One of mine as the daily
Thank you
for the hearts and views.
I hear them whisper, "it won't last long.”
Won't you help me prove them wrong?

Functioning at under normal levels
lost under your breath
seducing the mind
blending thoughts together
as misfits unite

A glitch in the programming
a break in the night

Bring the water
that I breathe
and I'll drown
in your sight

Lost to an emotion
I thought I forgot
then a breath of
air.
