The version of me you never met
Was the best secret that I ever kept

False smiles and a witty joke
You'll never see past the positivity cloak

Why would I tell you I'm not fine
When you don't let me in your mind

Hair up and makeup done
You'll never see me in the evening sun

Meals prepped, trash stashed away
You hear only what I want to say

Even this account is best kept private
If you knew my truth, you'd never survive it

ac
feeling fine
freely smiling
music in my ears
i’m jamming out
that one song comes on
i know it in three notes
i thought i deleted it
it stops me in my tracks
because now im reliving it
The day
I came into this lonely world is the same;
only the city’s name has changed
and the man I have become.

Many happy returns .
7teen > 8teen
She sat alone, beside the door
not asking much, not asking more.

She didn’t wait for steps to fall
but for a glance.
No cry. Just call.

. . .

She wasn’t silent out of fear,
nor lost for words that wouldn’t clear.

She simply held that hush so deep
your broken soul
could rest, could sleep.

. . .

When you were cruel, she did not shake.
When you were low, she’d bend, not break.

She breathed like grass, a quiet thing,
forgave it all, just with a blink.

. . .

You could have left.
Or screamed. Or lied.
Or tossed your anger off with pride.

She knew it all.
She didn’t plead.
She breathed, just breathed
like hope, like need.

. . .

And if you left and never came
past morning’s hush, beyond the flame

she still would sit…
no names, no cries…
and watch the night
as if
it shines.
"A drop of heaven from the sky
A sun kissed feather gliding by
A gentle breeze blown through my hair
Communicating with a stare
Dancing in a thunder storm
Sun's embrace so soft and warm
Angel's opening my eyes
Reaching up to touch the skies
Falling back into a bed
Not regretting what was said
Hearing your most favorite song
Your loves embrace so sweet and strong
A full moon smiling back at you
A goodnight kiss or maybe two
Never taking only giving
Your smile makes my life worth living."
