SøułSurvivør An awesome tribute! You're one of the poets I would elect for showing the most growth of any on this site. My heart twinkle with happiness, TOO! Thanks for your heart, Born! ☆♡☆

Poem. 5 million am not just a number
Corvus  Wonderfully compassionate. It's so easy to be kind and sympathetic to those on your doorstep. Those further away but in even greater need are often ignored. Brilliant write.
The most important part of posting a poem is the response you get, I'd love to appreciate every single one of  you for the words you offered. For those who didn't make the list, I still appreciate you.

This poem is coming from an emotional place, for the longest time I never believed in myself. But now I do, thanks a lot

This poem came to me as I was reading tonight. I was thinking of puzzle pieces and how they are gray on the back. But God is always painting a picture of glory on the other side! And He's the only one who can fit the puzzle game together!

I am a slow reader, I realize. Thank you for being patient with me if I have not read a whole lot. I hate to skim poetry. It's like putting a piece of chocolate in your mouth and then spitting it out right away! I like to savor it! Thanks for understanding!

Staggering pain

Placing your hopes like a new prey

talking to me like your new bait

Thinking about you makes me suffocate

Decimate

Penetrate

Whatever's left of my cremate(d) heart
Born Aug 2017
The smile that suffers
The void that felt heavier
The green eyes filled with craters

The life we wanted wasn't meant for us
The stars we held crushed before us
The love we chased couldn't have us
The dreams we had crippled us
The days we moaned with passion are behind us

The perfect story has been loathed
The yelling and fights has been silenced
The tears has been iced
The bright sky has been covered
The beautiful memories has been devoured

The glaciers covered the heart
The mistakes filled with dirt
The tragic stories that hurt

but to scorch them

for the pain is the only high we have left
that cares enough to hurt  us
