i thought i had you
so much so that i assumed
i would be lost without you
but i never had you
and now
i can't tell if i'm lost
or if i could ever be lost
when i was never home
in the first place

i wish you would've said something

We drink from rivers we
dance like swans. We
chase the sun and run
in the dead of night. We
collect the best of songs
and get drunk on life.
Jump from planet to
planet. And giggle in
the sun. We are the
dream catchers. We
are the chasers of the
light ~

You are a poem
Comparing your white skin to paper
Blue veins to blue lines
your story written on you
like the ink on this paper

A life without love
Is like a night sky without the stars.
It's still there,
Just not quite as beautiful

Multicolored Eyes
I magine Icarus
C reatively carving his dream
A **** the soft features and
R idges as strong as his beliefs, lays
U nderneath an innocent soul
S tranded in a fantasy.
            Icarus
Flying towards the heavens
Embellishing the sky with pearl like wings
Caressing Icarus, soaring passionately.
His own hero in his eyes.
            Icarus
Glances up, suddenly hypnotized
By the gleaming sphere of light.
The innocent splash-
Tasting the bitter, revolting sea.
Swallowed whole without notice
With the sound of silence as
Icarus now soars freely with the angels.
I had to write a poem in English class, about Greek myth Icarus.
(written on March 7, 2012 as a junior in high school.)

And in
the sighs of
your day,

and the
quiet
whispers
of your
morning
awakening,

when stars
dance above
you and
last nights
dream
puzzle pieces
still move
and scatter
through
your mind.

my dreams
reach out
to you

and whisper
back to
you
with open
heart and
gentle
certainty

I am
here.
