Hold me like you miss me soothe my worries as you kiss me
Sorrow bittersweet while my eyes are feeling misty
Tomorrow is unwritten except for the bottom of a bottle of whisky.

If this is where we part then I might reclaim my heart
I can't relinquish my love and let all my joys depart
I can't walk one way while the chaos of life restarts.

I'm supposed to say goodbye but it feels like you won't go
It had always been the edge of temptation how did something grow
Tomorrow I'll see if our patterns change and what the changes show.

Hold me like you miss me while you soothe my spirit it's risky
Change sometimes doesn't happen even when life gets grisly
Tomorrow is unbidden but I won't face it miserably.
Love finds a way even when it runs through Hell.

I think we've found
an understanding
A common ground
Island in sea
I dont want you to feel shorted
So listen to me now
This is so important

When it comes to you and comes to me
I know there was uncertainty
But I also know how things are now
What we feel is more than what we usually allow
ourselves
And Its okay to let it come
And I could tell that you just wanted someone

So let me in you're the only one who can
I may be the only one who understands
Its okay to not have a plan
Its enough to simply be a man

I've never wanted
Something more
Don't hide the flaws
That I adore
No need to try
And fit a mold
These are more than just
Some words I've told

And I know that
You're very smart
But you embrace the brain
And hide from heart
I've hurt you, and you've hurt me back
For egos sake and what we lack

We can't take back all the mistakes
But Amy said
Its where you're at, not where you've been
And Its okay to let it come
And I could tell that you just wanted someone

So let me in you're the only one who can
I may be the only one who understands
Its okay to not have a plan
Its enough to simply be a man

I don't want to run your life
Or even be your wife
As much as I just want you to know
That I empathize
Its intimidating when something feels so good
Scared it isn't healthy or that you neglect the things you should
But you can't deny
And I would never lie

So let me in you're the only one who can
I may be the only one who understands
Its okay to not have a plan
Its enough to simply be a man

Its okay to let it come
I could tell that you just wanted someone
Its okay to let it come
I could tell that you just wanted someone

Words, redacted,
Still echo in my mind.
Esteem in shambles.
Foundation unstable.
Aware enough to know the fallacy
Yet to weak to tune it out.
Communication misheard.
Emotions unchecked.
Can't swallow this;
Choking to death.
Words on a CD disc
Covered in scratches
Skip-skip-skip, away to oblivion.
I can't breathe in a pool of oxygen.
Weights lifted,
Pressure remains.
Heart is ready to burst
In a gruesome seen
Of mental instability.
This is based off a fight I had with someone I cherish more than anything. In the fight, as so often is the case, things were said that were not untrue by any means, but were said in a convoluted manor that brought about a lot of doubt in self and within the relationship. When the flood gates of the past opened I was caught so off guard. The other party noted that they had not lied, but withheld information. A tactic we all have used at one point or the other, one I often times find acceptable. However in this context, and within this relationship, regardless of what you call the lack of information it was like a truck to the chest. It took this image of "us" I had drafted in my mind and shattered it to oblivion. This poem is about how the words of another can echo in your mind and feel like the absolute truth, even though you know for a fact that it is not the truth.

Hesitantly
I try to heal
Knowing nothing has changed
in the way we feel
But we woke up softer
on Saturday morn
and a slow caress
became delicious ****
Fingers interlaced
A gentle morning moan
Waking with your taste,
it's your pleasure that I own
And one was not enough
because, baby, it's been too long
Muffled through pillows & sheets,
I can hear your ecstatic song.

Making up waking up
Megha Balooni Jan 2015
'We can't meet. We can't survive. It wouldn't happen ever, the chances of existability are bleak, too good to be true.'
His eyes wouldn't meet mine, fingers entwined, free, trying to pick up a pen, then putting it down, he was fidgeting.
'Give me one good reason why we shouldn't even try.' She was determined.
'Because we're like the train tracks, we run parallel, we understand each other, we're supportive of each other, we can't do without each other. True. All of that and more. But we just can't meet.'
Boy, did he put up a good fight. But she was raised a stubborn kid.
Deep breath.
'But you know, you see, if carefully, in perspective, the lines do meet, intersect. There's that one point. Happens. You just need to be standing at the right place with the right person and looking in the right way.'
A smirk and she knew she'd won.
