I orbit around the
star of your eyes.
Spinning in circles
through black stellar skies.

Your cosmic pull
is a binding so tight that
I revolve
despite your blinding light.

You scar me
with solar flares and burns,
and all I can do
is turn
and turn
and turn.

But better to burn
than to be alone
for my body would turn
to ice on it's own.

Gravitational attraction
holds me in your clutch.
Though I'm always beside you,
we'll never touch,

but if you should ever
fall from the sky,
as you go down
so shall I.
