Maybe I'm foolish
To trust the excuse
"I'm only human"
Just defies the truth

I'm at one with nature
My learned behaviors
Once brought me to
A place full of anger
Love lost its flavor
When cost of labor
Cut deep like a razor
Hope was my anchor!

Lost in a temper,
The love for myself
Burned in the embers
I needed some help!
I turned to my friends
They heard what I said
The end wasn’t near
It was all in my head

Call it a figment
But who would’ve thought
A little mistake
Would leave me distraught
It seems I forgot
The cream of the crop
Can wither and rot
When the time’s not right

Caught in the spotlight
With nowhere to run
I pray, “Please God.
Help me out of this one”
I can’t see the path
You put me on
When the odds against me
Are slim to none

I was built to run so I up and left in the filtered sun

I tried to cultivate a garden
When my world was burning.
The metaphor is simple:
I was working with no purpose.

Ebb and flow, stepping stones
Learning how to "let it go"
All a part of how we grow
The feeling is incredible
Once you finally let it in
It becomes your medicine
A daily dose of hanging loose
Is something that I recommend

Used to be a pessimist
And my own nemesis
I know it sounds repetitive
But I focused on the negatives
Now when I reminisce
I think what was the benefit?
Well the answer is darkness
Comes before the exodus

I’m tryna move on I’m tryna let go
but all I’m feeling is I’m better off left alone
I always set the tone for I’m set to explode
It goes, 3, 2, 1 of my episodes

You profess to value all life
so you don't strike to ****
You hype the truth, and
gorge on the fear you instill

People are like plants, they need care to live
to survive diseases and die peacefully.
We are looking for someone who will give
us the chance to be treated equally.
