Amy
I catch her kind words in my dreams,
Pure in spirit, a ribbon of light encapsulates her love,
Her essence is there, her vision held,
Sweet in her caring, gentle and kind,
Serene in death as in life
My dearest Amy
A tribute to my mother in law, a truly lovely person.

Can you cradle me in Love,
Can we chase the time away
Back to our youth,
To live another day
Of bright lights and glitter,
Discarded in the mesh
Of need and vitality
And life in the flesh.

Or, should we feed our souls
Without the need for words
The essences sufficient
To court my ready *******;
Pervasive and delicious
My hunger yet undone
Your touch, your presence calling me
For soon you will be gone.

Time's up
The moment missed
I cannot know my dream
To dance and love together
In Life's fascinating shifts.

Have we lost it then forever,
Must we tear our souls apart,
Or , can you reach my distance
In the cradle of your heart.

Outside reality we stepped,
Spirits soaring and swooping
In synchronised immortal flight;
Astonished

No need for words, transcending thought
glistened with joy on wings of life;
Spellbound.

Reality , not far below, called out, ignored.
We laughed, and rose in unison again
our flight unseen, delight unknown.
Sensations, locked in fascinating dream
now crystallized in sands of time,
traversed alone,

Too soon reality had called us to our separate ways,
and twenty years on I still recall the wonder of that scene.
