Laid now on his smooth bed
For the last time, watching dully
Through heavy eyelids the day's colour
Widow the sky, what can he say
Worthy of record, the books all open,
Pens ready, the faces, sad,
Waiting gravely for the tired lips
To move once -- what can he say?

His tongue wrestles to force one word
Past the thick phlegm; no speech, no phrases
For the day's news, just the one word ‘sorry';
Sorry for the lies, for the long failure
In the poet's war; that he preferred
The easier rhythms of the heart
To the mind's scansion; that now he dies
Intestate, having nothing to leave
But a few songs, cold as stones
In the thin hands that asked for bread.
Little girl burned by desires
Go go in her head she loves a man
She is young and stupid
Naive, innocent and adventurous
Sneaking in the night she reaches the fone calls a lover that lay in bed elsewhere with a another woman
The deceit of her beauty drives her astray
To risk her future in blindness to fall for moments
How can i lert a proud heart majestic in high life to spend at all times the sweat of men as she never minded she was cementing her tomorrow.
I dont care she said...i can leave home...who cares i can abort.
But then who cares you can also die, she sees from near and focuses not afar.
Early in the morning the mother folds her back and hits the garden searching for surviving fighting for her daughter.
No she is flittered and gone her coaching books with her body I  pause and tear.....
Such a generation
She says to all dont tell me what to do i have my chances to live, like a cat she believes in nine lives.
Her smooking temper alerts well wisher of help
Her clothes torn to many so she moves naked in their eyes only clothed to the unknown
The universe you ought to have will now have you

Will they be bygones or will it regrets
With the whole world weeping into her hands,
Alone on the brink of salvation she stands.

Waiting for an ice shard to free her from time,
Lingering on the edge of a new silken rhyme.

What, once she steps, will Fate for her devise?
Will she, once flown, fall to her demise?

Think not on this, we shan't, for shame,
For unlike to our thoughts, we all are the same.

So tottering over the unknown she will stay,
Red tears shining nuance into the new day.

And once, perhaps, we shall see her soonafter
When, as is hoped for, she'll exist in our laughter.

She shall dwell in the crevices of downtrodden states
And between the rusted old heart's prison gates.

Her solace shall be in the hands joined as one
And the world she once jumped for as she fingered that gun.
This started off as a line id originally had and then just kinda added to.....that was a roller coaster. Don't feel like editing it and it's totally a rough draft sooooooo....>_<

Matt
Can anyone ever forget
that voice that made you smile
ever prayed for one last chance
but you're up all night in denial

Or did you ever regret
the day that you lost sight
when words were not enough
to make everything alright

When the cut is still deep
but your heart is still beating
can we really move on
when we know we're still bleeding

Can you listen to that love song
without your throat getting sore
when the bittersweet melody
makes you cry even more

Will we ever be the same
when our heart turns to stone
can we ever return,
To the love that felt like home.

Dawn
In this fast-paced world
where I was burning out,
you dimmed all the lights
just so I could see
I could still shine bright.
If I had known that would have been goodbye,
Maybe I wouldn't have left so fast,
I would have kissed your cheek,
Squeezed your hand,
Sunk into your hug a little deeper.
But now you're down in Texas,
And I'm here in Minnesota, alone.
Would have, could have, should have
