You are full of it
when what you plan
to do did not include
other people's interest.
Are you playing with
yourself all alone,
when all you needed
was just lovely friends
who will gladden your
world with their lives.
These loving friends are
actually the flowers in
the garden of our lives,
they decorate our lives
with beauty and adorn it
with fragrance of their
loving smiles,
bringing to us that free gifts
of love and friendship.
Their presence is more than
a balm of Gilead.
A true friend is like a rose
and a beautiful flower in
the vase of our lives worthy
to be nurtured and watered daily.
We need each others touch to
survive and thrive.
Love is about inclusion,
doing and acting out our lives,
and letting others into our world.
Even though some might be a
pain in the ***,
still you can't do without them,
they make up the textures
of our lives.
We need all of them both the
positive and the negative,
they help bring us to a better place.
Unwittingly helping in an
uncanny way to learn about
love and forgiveness,
accommodating and acceptance,
patience and endurance,
Wellness and healing.
They bring pleasure and delight into our world.
How I wish we could be good loving friends.

I see you hurting
And fear there's not much I can do
The truth sometimes shatters hope,
But I promise, a little goodness remains, too

Maybe in time you'll see
You never truly lost what you need
At times, what you want
Isn't what's best, but misleads

Though if you wish to kick and scream
Shout to the Heavens on your knees
Cry in a corner or curse freely
I'll stand by--now and always--caring deeply

I get to

I don’t have to wake up too early
I get to

I don’t have to go to work
I get to

I don’t have to deal with my neighbors
I get to

I don’t have to eat a healthy dinner
I get to

I don’t have to call my parents
I get to

I don’t have to wash the dishes
sweep the floors
feed the pets
hang the laundry
scrub the toilet
I get to

I don’t have to pack her lunch
with a smile
and a lovely note
I get to

I don’t have to do
the things I dread
or the things I love
I get to

I don’t have to keep on living

I get to!

Beside a full size bed,
full of destiny and dream,
a corpse dressed up
to fit among
the living, softly sleeps.

Carving sAl(i)vAtiOn in black
marker on the walls,
recounting upset memories,
I stick the landing.
I didn't plan to stay

In this depressive state,
but I'm fully equipped.
Adaptable to necessity,
without trying to fit.
I may be sad, reclusive,
virulent at my worst --

When will you
come to terms with this curse?
When will you learn
it's best
you be
who you
need?

When will you
fall in love with this curse?

When will you learn,
there's plenty room
for the misfit?

I don't want your money
I want your good morning
and goodnight

please don't forget me
the memories
are fading

give me your worst
give me your best

give me a little love from you

I want your rain
your everything

a little love from you

give me your fire
your sorrow

the memories
aren't new

the days I spent my life with you

I'll always remember that good side of you
