it feels like the touch of a lover.
Some distant other,
engraved into me
etched into my soul.
Burned deep into my skin
is the touch that was once there,
a touch that will.
Never leave,
Never fade,
marking me forever
like the faded kiss of another.

I love your calm smile that refreshes my heart like a delicate breeze.
I love your indescribable cheeks, blushing like a field of singing flowers.
I love your beautiful soul that creates dazzling days, months, and seasons.
I love everything about you. And I love thinking of you and dreaming with you.
I love everything that reminds me of you, and I love your presence. When you come, everything disappears except your breathtaking beauty.

Your eyelids flutter,
Your hand slips into mine,
Warm touch on your thigh
Your eyes half-shut-
Bittersweet sips of wine,

We don´t dance around the truth-
We share fantasy with grace
I´m pretending-
A narrative you´re inventing,
I rehearse my lines aloud,
Staring at the shared sky,
As we both lie.

I used to have to sit down and make myself write
Now it comes as naturally as breathing

Ideas churn in my head
Spilling out when emotions get high

I have so much to write about
And I find it so relieving

To see my feelings typed out
In dark black ink on a page

I can understand them better that way

Poetry filled a hole I didn't know existed
And I am now a complete soul
