Can become your nemesis

You see the choices you made
Sometimes not so pro-active
And the choices were made for you
Every choice has consequences

Words do not get attention
But the feelings behind them do

In love, with the word love.

Without appreciating life
One cannot understand death
Macabre paintings of it
Destroying the will to live
Death takes over every crevice
Even before life gets a chance
One becomes idle
Even before the journey starts

Surrounded by ambiguity
It’s natural to find meaning
Key is to keep searching

Let go
All inhibitions
Lay bare
Let the winds kiss
You everywhere
Sunrays will
Reflect off the skin
Of desire
Nature’s beauty
No boundaries

Wilting under the illusion
Created reality and life
Demons and monsters
Death and depression
Resigned to the situation
Death to thoughts
Minds are hijacked
Hope buried long ago
Life seems what it
Scripts and lectures
Singing dirges
Pain all around
Truth veiled
Love a distant dream

The hands in iron gloves
Strangulated the heart
Unknown face in a mask
Meant to fool the gullible
Feelings strewn all over
Trampled with disdain
Leaving behind trail of pain

The scariest moments are those when you don’t recognize yourself

In love with destruction
Mind always in depression
Cuts and lacerations
Words are devoid of feelings
Hollow meanings acceptable
Poetry dripping with blood
Only obsession
Monsters lurking inside
Soul is hijacked
No hope

The cup brims over
With your lies and deceit
A cup from which I drank
Hemlock, laced with honey

You entered the mind
With the sinister intention
To kick out the happy thoughts
And abuse the space
Given to you as privilege
Now that you have taken it hostage
You have made it a place of slander
Deep wounds within
Cloaked from the world outside
You stealthily carry on the violence
A silent atrocity

Everyone wants a change
No one wants to change oneself
It's a status quo

An ending requires a period
But what lies ahead is ellipsis
Deliberate omission…

Words hurled with fury
Like burning embers
Too hot to keep inside
Paper catches fire
Billowing smoke of anger
Choking the heart

More one plays with muck
Getting embroiled in it
Soiling the heart and soul

There are so many ****** up ideas
Which get the undue attention
Led by the blind few, to believe
The only way we can live

Your smile turned out to be a sickle
And my heart lay there with lacerations
Bleeding of all the emotions

Don’t nurture the seeds of fear
Planted by the coward few
Which will pull you underground
Roots entrenched deep within
The crevices where toxicity breeds
Feeding off the darkness and blood
Giving rise to anarchy
So many dying in oblivion
Deprived of the sunshine of love

Thoughts of the masses
Thoughts of the classes
Drowning the thoughts of individuals

The soul was dyed black
With the billowing smoke of lies
Daylight seemed a foe

We are an insecure lot
Whether we believe it or not

Walking through the dark alley
Ignoring the parallel road, well lit
Never wanting to expose the secret chambers
Feelings comforted by darkness
Fearing light will bring them to limelight

Shoving the layers of deceit
You have buried me deep
Gasping for breath
I realized, I was handling dirt
Time for me to wash you off me

With red ink I drafted the colorless events
Painfully, the life dripping away
Leaving it in resplendent paleness

So many words are helpless
Bleeding with lacerations
They lose their existence timidly
As they are not given enough love
Spewing venom on words with disgust
Words longing for respect
They are just inner reflections

Poetry is not only about the write
But also about the *read

Poetry communicates with readers
With its genuine feelings

Every time love is trampled
It rejuvenates with fresh hope
It is eternal

Why look to define
When everything is transient
What it is today, may not be tomorrow
To define is to limit

It's a *steeplechase
