He loves
with rapt attention
his nearest neighbor
an unattainable beauty
a temptress
veiled in aquamarine
and evergreen
she has forever been
his only muse

he reaches
invisible fingers
across the void
seeking warm earth
against the bone
chilling blackness
for he cannot
turn to face
the sun

she is breathless
beneath his fullness
her every landscape
willingly unfurls
his forceful touch
swings her tide
from crest to ebb
she can only spin
in ecstacy

she memorizes
each scar
on his luminous skin
for she is wise
to his lunar ways
love that borrows light
to show its face
is surely meant
to wane

SHE HAD HEARD TOO MANY TIMES

OF HOW SHE SHOULD LIVE IN THE

MOMENT.

WHEN IN FACT,

NOBODY COULD TAKE ENOUGH STEPS

BACK TO SEE THAT SHE WAS DEAD

INSIDE.
We house intimate thoughts built upon contrasting poles. Echos of raging laughter; scratching against crystalline memories. Halted ache. Stagnant sorrow. I lay awake. The dimensions of my head sinks into the pillow like a solvent. Dissolving. A chemical combustion. As time lapses depression becomes me. Self-implicated torture. We negate apologies for a decadent virtue.
Wilted persona
Beautiful ignorance
a tale of light and dark
shappen lips-
we deprive ourselves

Taste.
lust of envy
our denial is criminal
bitterly off tasting
selfish.

There stands a vivid canvas
it reads eggshell
a Polaroid picture captured.
Sincerely empathy,

August night, we painted the windows fog
panting, we breathed
the color spectrum
dawn on me
my glorious illusion.

Walk down the road towards the café, not wanting a coffee
Collect some icing sugar, not wanting any frosting.
Go to the grocery store, with no kitchen to cook in.
Dress every day, when no one is there to look.
Living in the desert, when I want to dance in the rain everyday
Hanging on to the sands of time, while wanting to hang off tree branches
Playing monopoly, while making words for scrabble
Caring for my sister, while the love of my life falls in love with her.
Trusting the parents , while they doubt me every second.
Trying in a relationship even when love isn’t between us.

Granny get your gun
The house will soon be overrun
Momma grab your boys
Take them to the cellar
Tell 'em to stay from the killer
Now's not the time to play hero
Granny get your gun
Momma grab your sword
The men have left
All up to you
The terrorist come
Granny get your gun
Time to have some fun
Barricade the yard
No time for bombs
Momma use your charms
Granny has the gun
Aim is sure sweet
She'll knock 'em off their feet
Momma used her charm
Lured them to the yard
Boys kept safe
Still to young to play
But Granny has the gun
Listening to a song and it reminded me of the old west. This is what came of it. Back when the men left the home to do what they needed to and left the women in charge. Not my normal work nor my best.
