WHAT IS IT?

Those who have it- doesn´t want it,
Those who want it- doesn’t have it,
Those who had it- regrets it,
Those who never had it- craves for it.

What is it you ask?
It´s called love my friend.

Sorry if my words aren't pretty enough
for you to read,

but I'd like to be myself for once.

There was never any need
to please others,

for no matter how much
you seem to owe them,

in the end, your life
should belong to you.

There never was any reason
to judge or scorn,

for everyone is scarred
insecure and flawed,

the only perfections that exist
are the imperfect ones.

Time is caught up in moments,
the anxiety and restlessness
found in dancing shadows,

questioning and mindless tests
adolescents live by,

content and loving
mothers, fathers, lovers,

weary and patient,
time carriers.

Beware! My dear shepherds,
I think you've failed to see.
There are wolves among your flock!
And one of them is me.
Are you not aware?
That in a pack we hunt?
Or that sometimes there are better things,
To have as sheep for lunch?
We are patient and unkind,
We creep slowly through the dark,
You're so secure within your power,
I think it's made you blind.
We'll start with your dogs,
And then move on to you,
And then you'll know that these were facts,
You'd wished you would've knew.

They never did,
Get it right.
The wiring inside my head.
Some switches flip far to quickly,
Some it seems,
Not at all.
I've come to accept it though.
I can't exactly get in there,
And I've never been much,
Of an electrician.
But hey!
That wiring is me.

You won't consider him dangerous because he always has a weapon on hand
Like an angel with a shotgun
He was unexpected and unplanned
He's not dangerous because he's very experienced, with both women and remedies
He intrigues you
Living a carefree, exciting life is his specialty

He'll draw you in with his deep brown eyes and Cheshire Cat smile
You'll pray he keeps you around for at least a little while
It's no doubt that he has broken more bones than hearts
His hands have never scared you
Yet his poetic words made you cautious from the start

You'll consider him dangerous because he's charming, loving, and kind
No matter how hard you try,
he'll never leave your mind
The spaces between your fingers are right where his fit perfectly
It's as if you were born from the same star, knowing each other for eternity

You'll feel stupid because by now you thought you would've learned your lesson
Don't worry, for he won't **** you with harsh words or leathal weapons
But you'll fall for him and won't remember how or when
He'll **** you by kissing you once and then never again

And in this world
where everything matters,
yet nothing is real,
I am lost.

A coward is among the brave,
the brave who shine for something
even when they might be wrong,
all that matters
is that they shine.

But I don't want to,
I feel tired and dull
with an aching in my chest,
a longing in my mind
to be set free,

free from known boundaries,
where I'm told to sit and just wait
for my dreams to arrive,
like ships on an orange horizon,
drifting about endlessly,
but never making it
onto my shore.

And in this world
where everything matters,
yet nothing is real,
I am lost.
The little I can translate into words this evening.
Happy Valentine's Day.

Love,
An over-rated feeling I reckon,
From the second we were born,
Till our very last- breath,
We assume love is in the air,
Literally- in the form of beings.

Humans,
Wow,
Even words aren’t qualified to describe them.

Humans,
Have the power to defile something so pure,
And make themselves victims,
Of their very, own,
Desecration.

Love,
An energy so puissant,
A gift from God,
Can be deceived,
Simply by the glare of two, strong, eyes,
And there it goes,
Love decides to misuse its boundless power.

Before you even know it,
We tend to lose ourselves,
A little, by little,
Just like those trees during fall,
Until,
We’re completely destroyed,
And join all the other broken stars up the sky.

At least,
Those are what my dad said,
When I asked about those,
Single,
Incomplete,
Stars

I'll tell you what I got from you;
They're not your gifts
That give me lift,
Like tea, flowers and concert tickets;
Nice, but for the moment.
Petals pale and music stops,
The things I got
Simply do not.
You smiled for me
A million times;
Sat by me
When I reclined;
Raised me up
Though I'd decline;
You gave me what
I call Divine:
Your time.
Ahh, but I didn't use the word, Valentine.
