just once
I want to be called beautiful
I wont believe you anyways
but i'll want to
just once I want you to tell me i'm worth it
I won't trust you
but i'll try
just once I want you to see me
i'll pretend you weren't looking at me
but i'll know
just once I want to be told i'm perfect
flaws included
but I won't believe you
I care not
for the knots
the fingers
crave to touch

Like splinters
beneath the nails
are the grains of
my contemplation

Snowflakes
that flutter down
melt so fast
in the fires
of destination

The cradle is
the ladle of life
dishing out
the grueling days

We stack up
board feet
by the yards
to build a house of
cards

And when
the snow has melt
the springboard floods
wash it all away
Sometimes I wonder:
Why not me?
But then I pondered:
Maybe they need it more than me...

rain

she brings the rain, soft and slow,
a hush of silver, a gentle glow.
yes, i care for springtime bright,
but care for nothing in her light.

she brings the rain, the world turns grey,
yet melts the clouds, she clears the way.
in dawn’s embrace, so cool, so wide,
she brings the rain, i stand inside.
inspired by a song i heard in the show euphoria
