When you look at me
What do you see?
Do you see me as I am or how you wish I were?
When you look at me
Can you see the depths of my soul?
When you look at me
Do you see my heart aching for you ?
When you look at me
Do you see how perfect you
are to me in my eyes?
When you look at me
What do you see ?

Do you see all of me?
As I see all of you

Some people are angry
While others will smile
Hard as a rock
Soft as a child

Some will include you
Some push you away
Some people will use you
As a pawn in their game

Some people, a mess
Then again aren't we all
No more and no less
In our does and don'ts

Some people will hate you
If you're one to show love
Gladly run you through
Over things you have done

Some people show patience
Others hurry along
Without a clue or a hint
There's anything wrong

Some live for the future
Some the here and now
Some for past consequence
That keeps dragging them down

Some run for cover
Some people stand strong
It's little wonder
Why we can't get along

Even in our distance,
It doesn't matter who you see,
I know you'll be looking,
for someone like me.

Because in my world,
I'll be looking for you,
With every woman I'm with,
In everything they do.

You came to me at nights end,
Because you loved it that way.
My comfort embracing you,
Knowing it would never fade away.

Running from our connection,
Our love and passion so overbearing,
But we will always look back,
Knowing our love, there was no comparing.

hate
shall
eat
through
your
entire soul
from
the
inside
and
out
while
hate
leaves a black hole
where
you
shall
lose control
from
this
empty place
today? Are you wily
as a snake? Gentle as a summer's
breeze? Or so fragile that you'll
break? Will you sting me like a hive
of bees? Or rake me like the autumn leaves?

Who are you
behind your bedroom door,
lying in the dark rolled up like
a cigarette, above the hard
wood floor? Staring at the
the ceiling. Walls peelings like
your sunburnt skin. Who are you
before the drinks kick in?

Who are you
with her? Who are you
with him? Who are you standing with
your face in the bathroom mirror? A silhouette
in the shadows, when the lights
grow dim?
Tread the line between sea and sand
hold the wind, take its hand
let it out
anyway you choose
walk a mile in the ocean's shoes
