An unwanted presence is now tapping on the window. The sky has shifted in colour reflecting the imminent emergence of a dark and ancient being. I’ve not known it before but feels strangely familiar, I do know you but choose to ignore you. Your laughter is haunting. I cannot reason or bargain with you. You have a singular purpose governed only by pure instinct. I’m powerless to fight against something I cannot see. But you’ve always been there gently reminding me that one day we shall finally meet. Desperately trying to avoid you I lost my way and found myself aimlessly wondering a path surrounded in darkness and uncertainty. The sudden realisation that you’ve tricked me and instead of running from you I’ve been heading towards you. With each step the path behind me falls away, there is no going back. I am alone. I’ve come to the end of the road, I see you now.

A thousand eyes split the serenity of my mind.  A cruel wind extinguishes the fire in my eyes. Jagged pieces fall without grace. An Eternal battle lost in silence. Governed by the illusion of control, the walls built to protect crumble around my innocent mind. I did not write the music that taunts my soul. I danced to it lost in its cruel rhythm, it’s twisted logic. Shall I dare meet the author of this sweet bitter song. Is the truth scattered on pages locked inside unwritten songs. The music is fading amongst the songs of a 1000 other souls. An internal conflict arises. Become the author and bare the truth. Or dance forever with demons that bare false truths.

Being unaware of how truly beautiful you are is the beginning. If you've always known yourself to be beautiful than you have no measurement in which to compare. By being unaware you gradually learn to appreciate that being beautiful is measured only by the limitations that have kept you unaware. Therefore the limitations imposed upon you by others prevent you from knowing how beautiful you are. True beauty is allowing yourself to accept you are truly beautiful. Sadly, not accepting you are worthy of such praise prevents you from seeing the true beauty in anything, as only something truly beautiful can recognise what beauty is.
