A knee across the neck
It only took nine minutes
" I can't breathe", he gasped...

If you will my roots to rise
We shall go on stumbling.
Surrounded with memories
Of distant places.
The birds whistle away
Tweeting favourite lullabies.
The sun has transformed
Oranging,
From her brilliant yellow hue.
She vanished,
Hiding in her room.

The day
Which once posed
In bright neon shades
Of noon,
Has tasted the shadows
Of the moon.

A slice of the moon
Flaunts herself
In the naked, neutral dark skies.
The earth rages queerly.
Vomitting  a warning sign.

My mind dabbles
In its ignorant guessing
As I gaze upon
The uncertain skies.

I feel like a meteor
Might fall to the earth
Tonight.
Sometimes I feel like I can predict the next minute but it turns out I am not always right.

I'm sleeping in the guest room tonight.
Why can't you be my centerfold from '75?
I heard your voice from the womb and now
it has a cruel pitch and it's not enough.
You screech at my mistakes. I curse you for
yours. We both swim in the same cesspool.

It’s 4am
What do you expect?
Like it’s a regular occurrence
Shades of orange and baby blue
Paint a pretty picture in the sky
The birds already chirping
My mind still wandering
What’s on the horizon today?

Such a strange world in here
I write about my broken heart💔
And for it I get an unbroken heart💓
Well I don't mind it
