My eyes met with yours
in gaze led across the room.
As I slowly fell into their radiating golden light, I got lost.
I saw a cottage made of stone and wood.
Surrounded by waltzing wildflowers and tall leaning oak trees.
The mountains perched behind us while clouds of cotton rested in the sky.
There were kin playing in the fields of rich green grass beside us;
chasing the faires, and fighting the dragons of their fantasties.
And then there were we;
old fingers intertwined into old hands, and wrinkled cheeks from smiling.
We rocked back, and forth, back, and forth, back, and forth.
I looked up at your gracious eyes, and you whispered to me
in a voice as sweet as honey,
"Now I don't remeber much spanish, but Thank you mi amore,"
as you planted a kiss on my cheek.
I blushed in shades of rose as I smiled and whispered back,
"Te amo."
And as those two words slipped from my lips,
in the blink of an eye,
from the chime of a bell,
We were back.
I was carrying my books
heading out of the Spanish classroom.
Our eyes still sewn together by the thread of fate,
you smiled.
I smiled back.
And that is when I knew you were the one.
The clashing waves whispered into my ears.
Standing in front of the Sapphire blue,
The warmth from the pale softness under my feet wrapped away my fears.
The calmness of the never ending ceiling left no clue.
The time passed slower than the emerald jewel departing into the foam.
The whiteness cast a shadow over me as it sang freely,
If only I could be like them and carelessly roam.
The clashing tides seduced me into it’s embrace, warmly yet eerily.
Will I be able to sink into the royal blue darkness?
Or will I be drifted off into the cold and empty waters
As the I closed my eyes and left myself to the painful sweetness,
“Nothing really matters”
The words she said flashed before my eyes.
The mesmerising yet deadly ocean,
resembled her under all her disguise.
It was the hidden side of her that she kept for so long, all the beauty and the emotion.
Her soul was the ocean and I was drowning in her charm

of color.
"This too shall pass," say poets dead and gone,
"And soon the green shall come dispel the gold."
But even green shan't stay forever on:
For autumn has new colors to unfold!

The hurt that is a friend of letting go
Is natural, so give yourself some grace.
And when it passes-and it will, you know-
you'll find the wonder here, in this new space.

Circumstances are but temperamental.
Although the same thing ne'er will repeat,
You do not need to be too sentimental:
Another comes that may be just as sweet.

Though tempted you might be to let tears fall,
This ending is of one thing, not of all.

She smiles
Like the sun kissed flowers
Staring up at the sky
On a field of never-ending blossoms in the summer’s light

But don’t be fooled
There’s a tempest brewing
The cumulonimbus clouds murk over her inner world
So deep into her immaculate soul it’s pursuing

She loves
Like the moon’s devotion
To the vault of heaven
On a glorious gloom

But don’t be fooled
Her darkness is the asphalt
On the terra firma
When the vale is most coruscating

She exposes
Her finest face
Like an overawed beau on the first night
Of *******

But don’t be fooled
Her behemoth lies slightly waken
In the depths of her muddled consciousness
Like a war solider awaiting command

She is two sides
Of the same coin
Tossing for heads or tails
Don’t be fooled
