The trees blew gently
behind tercotta roofs
tickling grey sky

but the sky didn't
giggle out loud , o no no
Just the wind passing

She wondered about
the street lights , each one looked like
a lamp upon desk

where silent poets
wrote in dark rooms under a
sky of shiny stars

there pens now magpies
as there wings spread high in sky
gracing moments with

beauty unknown to
humans eye , yet in silence
glimpses flicker by

a curse or a gift
She often questions the why's
and reasons of such!!

Maybe her questions
need not be answered , maybe
letting go is best

As the night darkens
and street lights light up the streets
She begins to write

a voice in her head
tells her no more no more , yet
she never listens

She too is a poet
in a dark room under a
sky of shiny stars

But she wants to be
like her friends where a street light
is just a street light
Playing with words x
And thank you lots for reading my poetry x life's been hectic lately soz if I don't get to read many , will try to catch up when I can :) xxxxx

I introduced myself to you a short while back
I’m the man with fangs for teeth, who lies in a coffin by day and roams the earth by night

I’ve seen some sights in my 500 years, most of them not pretty
The strangest of them occurred this evening, whilst roaming in the City

I was looking for some sweet blood to save me from dying
Sweet, warm blood, just my type, a sign of a human being ready and ripe

Ripe for the picking, for my tea, a nip of the neck to set me free
First a nip, then I ****, until the blood is drained, the human runs out of luck but me well I’m Mr Lucky

Well I guess my luck is wearing thin, or I found someone of my match
A blonde beauty oh how I much desired, threw herself right at me and I almost fell in the fire

We were sat lounging in a bar in the Cavern, it is of course our local Tavern
Her eyes found me across the room, I lost all my senses and started to swoon

She batted her eyelids and lashes and called me by my name
I tried to speak but couldn’t fathom a reply, all I could do was open my mouth and sigh

She wiggled her finger at me beckoning me to her side
I blushed and went over to see what she wanted, I had no idea I was so vain, and at this moment in time feeling a little insane.

She told me she loved me and wanted to wed, then for me to take her home and share with her, my bed
I was flattered, and loving thoughts rampaged through my head

I got down on one knee, like the gent that I am, and asked her to wed me tonight
She said that she would and showed great delight, then kissed me on my lips

A little nip she gave before her lips left mine, it didn’t matter, it tasted divine, like a good full bodied red wine

We married in haste, eager to get home to bed, all impure thoughts running through my head

When we got to my room it became suddenly clear, it wasn’t my bed she wanted to share
She had designs on my blood within, she was going to **** me dry, make me pay for all my sins

It was suddenly clear that she wasn’t very nice, the words from her mouth dripped full of lies, the blood that ran through her veins as cold as ice

I would not suffer or give in, I needed 500 more years to carry on with my sins
I hatched a plan to save my skin, I needed to be quick, my skin is thin

Thin skin and a pale face, blood red eyes and fangs for teeth
My thoughts turned to hate, and I started to seethe

In the Kitchen I opened a bottle of full bodied red, called her to share it with me by the open fire
I declared my love for her and told her she was my heart’s desire

She was bewitched and flattered, mesmerised by with my words
I looked her in the eyes and bent forward for a kiss,
I missed and fell forward, stumbling and pushing the little minx,
She let out a cry and tried to steady herself on the kitchen sink

Alas, it was not to be, suddenly she fell into the fire, my love, my only desire
Turned to black and faded away, maybe she’ll reform and come back another day
This time with love and warmth in her eyes, then we could give it a go, see if it is possible for Two Vampire to own a soul.

For now, I am free to continue to roam, in the City I call home.
A follow-on to A Vampires Life, if you've read that one, I hope you enjoy this one too

In the still of the night
A Pale Moon casts its light
It comes and goes, goes and comes
Like it is playing with us as it safely guides us home

One minute the Moon is there to be seen, in its fullest glory
The next hidden behind a cloud, like it’s a character acting out its own story
The moonlight is just bright enough to guide us home
Letting us know as we walk in the dark that we are not alone

We walk and talk, holding hands, laughing with our friends
The Moon continues its game of hide and seek, dipping behind the clouds
It is not long before it’s back taking a peep, ensuring our safe-keep
Guiding us safely home, to our houses in the street, once there were street lights to guide us home
Now I’m glad to say that conserving energy means you are honoured to witness nature coming out to play

The Moon tonight is pale and round it looks very small in the sky and its colour is milky white
The clouds are shades of white and a little bit of grey
I ponder what the clouds will be like tomorrow when the Moon goes in and the Sun comes out to play
Will the grey in the clouds disappear, giving way to blue and warmth?
Will they darken every hour resulting in a downpour?

Nature is perfect in everything it does, wrapping its arms around us all, in one big happy hug

Great day and night out with friends yesterday and a beautiful walk home along the canal with just the Moon to keep us company, sometimes the simple things in life are all we need

Come on peeps, do what they say!
Please slow down when driving in the rain.

Do not speed in the rain! Don't leave yourself open to aquaplane.

The car lies crumpled on the side, you are all crumpled on the inside!
Death looms at your door, all because of the Zest for more!

More Speed, More Haste, More Accidents, More Waste!

Waste of your lives that are no more, leaving your family destroyed and bereft.
Crying tears that will never subside, dull and aching on the inside.
Without you, they are living a life of make do,  learning to live life anew, a life of pain without you!

Wake Up, Slow Down, especially in the rain.
Don't let yourself be a victim of an aquaplane.
Nasty accident on the road this morning, really heavy rain, road very wet and slippery. The car was a wrangled mess. Thankfully the driver had a lucky escape and had no serious injuries and no other cars involved but it was due to lost control in the weather

There was a lady ghost, from the past.
Who liked to scare people, just for a blast.
She lived in a cottage by the sea and liked to frighten people, like you and me.
The lady ghost went by the initials LJG.
One day feeling brave, I decided to seek her out
Talk to her, see if she would reveal
What kept her at the cottage every day, why she would always scream and shout
See if I could encourage her to stop, see how she would feel if I decided to turn the wheel
I had a plan in mind, you see
To wait behind the bush in the garden, for the ghost to appear
Whilst waiting, I may crack open a beer
Then without warning I would run out, start waving my arms and scream and shout
Wailing loudly, I would say, “hello LJG and how are you today?”
The lady would stop and take a breath, then reply
“I’m peachy my friend why do you ask?”
“I’m here having my usual blast, what are you doing imitating me? I’m the ghost LJG, there is only
one and that’s not you, it’s me!”
To my surprise the Lady ghost did not appear, I waited all day and all night
I was getting very worried that she may have found somewhere else to cast her fright
I went back again the next day, and waited my time once more
I spent several hours feeling bored and decided to step out from the bush to explore
First, I decided I would run around the back, see if the ghost had left any tracks
I tiptoed sneakily, keeping in shade, so I would not cast a shadow on my parade
Nothing to show, nothing to see, I would change my tack
Go Indoors, sneak, creep, climb up the stairs, to see if other plans could be made
Upstairs I found a handkerchief, it had frayed at the edges and tear stains of love soaked into it
I put it in my pocket and started to walk away
When a very small voice asked “why are you taking away, my heart and soul of yesterday?
I halted, I did not expect the lady ghost to show herself
I was ready to give up, retire,
fade away, put my dreams back on the shelf
At last I thought, here was my chance, would she recognise I was once her forbidden romance
"Lovely Joy Golden it is me, look deeply into my eyes, tell me who you see?"
The lady ghost could not believe what she saw before her
Her first and only love, denied by her father
The one she cried for day and night, her pain causing passers-by such a terrible fright
" Pierre my love come set me free, we'll be together now for all eternity "
"No more crying for you my love, I can now be your Prince Charming and you my sweet love"
