Love, Shock
Happiness
They all surge through me at once
I felt so content
She cares
She matters
Fear, Rejection
Sadness
What if...
Why would she...
NO
STOP
She cares
She matters
She hopes
She wants
She needs
It can last
It can burn
But
What if it ends
It will
It won't
Who knows
It doesn't matter what happens in the
Future
So live in the moment
So stay in the moment
Not the past
not the future
Don't worry
It'll work itself out
So
Accept
Love
And
Care
Let it burn
Let it grow
Take a chance
Take a risk
She will decide
You will accept
You decided
I accepted
You accepted
I decided
This was supposed to be positive but idk i cant write like that

They play tricks on your mind
But you're seeing it
So is it really an illusion

That's the trick
It keeps changing your mind
To make you wonder what you're really seeing

you think you're seeing something
You think its there
But is it really

You believe what you  see
The trick is your mind
You believe what you see and what they say

She doesn’t let gender stop her
Workouts to stay strong
Caring and proud

Smart and pretty
Voice strong and soothing
Words caressed by her speech

Her height makes her stronger
But she keeps rising up
She doesn’t care what it takes to get there

Doesn’t fear what they’re going to say
She stays true to herself
She won’t bring others down

Polite to everyone
A sweet girl who no one stops
She’s a true winner
this was inspired by a girl named Shea in my class who everything a person could be and she is very inspiring

Different by color
But the same inside
Always kept separated

Making my rebellion
To those who say they own me
Because I am not property

Everyday is a fight
Working for no money
Night and day

Family torn apart
Whipping for trying to run
One day I will be free

Invisible and forgotten
By those who are above us
Nothing but a waste of their money when we're free

Those who treat us as equal
Are the ones who freed us from this terrible life
Are our saviors forever

Some of us will never find our family
We will adopt the children torn from their families
We are free without knowing our rights
So are we truly free
I wrote this when we were learning about African American history

A man who showed the world
The terror of war
Who helped another
For all that it was worth
But not yet at all the same.
Who saw thousands of men
drop dead by the minute.
He showed what he
and others had done
Humanity itself hurt,
But what for?
To **** others, gain land?
Though he has works of his words
He gave them up.
While a leaner and a mentor
He gave so much
Of his life to write
To help another do the same.

His 'partner" killed in ba

things change within the heart
within the soul
within the body
but never the personality

you are who you are
not what you see
you can change your body
without changing yourself

because what matter is on the inside
not the out
if they cant see that
then they will never be right

because you are perfect so never doubt yourself
like i did
and be wrong like i was
because i am worth more then what others say

Mind quite and loud at the same time
thoughts fluttering around in his mind
No way  to let them out.

Trapped by his silence
Prisoner of his thoughts
Will he ever be free?

He talks in whispers
Say's what they want to hear
Not what he wants to say.

His words were written and lost
But the thoughts stay
WILL THEY EVER LEAVE HIM ALONE?
Inspired by: A kid in my class named Parker Wasson Who is quite and thoughtful and helped make this poem happen
