Was it me, or was it you?
Who failed to think and failed to know!
Love so fair, a question beyond,
A question of doubt, a game of trust.
Trust beyond any, so complete and true.
Shattered to bits, cracking the soul.
Moments of anger, a tear within,
Paralleled with joy, for pleasure to his soul.
A question to know, what she deserved in return,
In return of trust and the love she holds.
What be he there, breaking her happiness?
Happiness of togetherness, cherished memories they throw.
Why did she die out, in his mind so sharp?
For his mere pleasures of minutes, burning her soul.
Like a puppy so fond, with love so tender;
Why wasn't it enough to hold him so strong?
The beauty of the skin, or the sweetness of the tongue,
What made him loose; loose and share what was hers?
Expectations so high, engraved her so;
Contradicted to bits, all that she behold.
How could she share and how could she part?
The warmth of his breadth and the words in his silence.
The promise in his hands and so in his hug,
His embracing hands and tender kisses that touch.
How could he share it out for demons and trolls?
Every word she treasured, looking beyond the skies,
Parted with seas, promises broken to honour his needs..
Let down so low, unworthy of love,
Stranded alone she was, lonely and lost.
Ringing were regrets, that she can never forget,
Mistakes that haunted, paying in return,
Standing alone, cried out she aloud,
Heard was her voice, written down to note;
Wounded are many, broken and lost;
Save them today, for you may never know.
