The heat between us radiated like a boiling kettle

Skin touching skin like water in the cup

Our bodies stirred together and her eyes sparkled like white sugar

The milky moon poured it's light across her skin as the night brewed away

Her lips tasted of a strong fresh coffee

The kiss was hot but I wanted more.

You
You should know by now
that your flashing cursor
lives in a temporary domain

That you will only
remain silent
between chatting neurons
and won't live to see
the day 10 years
from now

I'll be sipping from
champaign flutes,
you'll gather dust,
and your color will fade
by the sun without guilt
nor remorse

Your logo is a curse,
a badge,
that reads
Hello My Name Is:
existence temporary.

for you don't know me
nor the font I choose
you don't feel these words
like I do

You think your so
perfect by correcting
the misspelled
and underlining
past mistakes

You can take your
fascists dictionary
and grammer
machine

and depart into
darkness
into
a cold
black screen
I have decided to return
To this lovely site
For my depression is keeping
Me awake at night
It it drowning me with fright
So I have decided poetry will help
Me come up for a breath
I have missed this site dearly
Here young teens are taken seriously
Unlike in reality when we are mistakened for jokes
My depression makes me choke
Scared of my own image
But I have yet
Returned

She is moonbeams
And dappled sunlight
Renewal and
New beginnings
Gracing the land
With fragrant blossoms
Buzzing bees
And dandelion flurries
As children play
In Spring’s garden
Blowing happy bubbles
And laughter floats
Touching the heart and soul
She is Mistress of Spring

A sound was heard at my
garden door
A feathered smudge found upon it

There she lay in frightened
trembling dismay
   A giant knelt ...
yet still towering above her

He reached out and touched
her pounding heart
Then cupped her warmth
in his hand

She stayed awhile until
she could smile
At the kindly human mystery

This love they shared
is uncommonly rare
She knew she could be freed

Before she flew
she whispered a song she knew
into the gentle giant’s  beard :

“I cannot make you happy
You're a wounded Bird like me ―
be Free...
you must find the strength to Fly”…

"A Bird in your hand
is worth two in the bush ―

   Come fly away with me"...

Thank you so much for the special feature this simple heartfelt poem has been allowed.  It is based on actual events that happen often where habitat
meets civilization.  As humans we can mitigate this footprint left behind by lifting the weight of caring with actions that speck louder than words. Who among us has not needed a helping hand when we are struggling with the unexpected?  Moments we must find the strength to carry on with a little help from our friends?

Find the strength to fly ―
