I can never be free.
Even the full moon is destined to say good morning
and the gentle stars plucked from their refuge in the twilight.
Even the graceful clouds are swept from the valleys
and the songbirds shackled to the endless heavens.
Even the mysterious mandarinfish are glued to the salty seaside
and the corals forced to surrender their colors.
Even the redwood's leaves are hauled from the colorless breeze
and the rose's petals dragged to the crumbling earth.
Even the oak's branches are starved from dancing in the wind
and the willow's roots locked into history.
Even my weary soles are planted to the grandest lavender mountains
and my chapped lips baffled in awe
and my lungs filled with frail butterflies
and my frayed palms fastened to my tattered heart
and my rusty eyes captivated by the glowing sunset.
Though, my frivolous thoughts still wander
and are stranded in the dark.
Even if I tried,
I can never be free.
help.
She was my good lover

Thought she would make me
A good wife

But

She carved me the fate

Of being

A poet for life!

When I was six years old
you took the stabilisers
from my bike, for the first time

You knew I was ready
You gave me a push
and you let me go

Two months ago
you took me to the airport
to catch my flight

You knew I was ready
to cross the world alone
and you let me go

Sometimes I wobble
But I haven't fallen yet
You taught me to balance

You prepared me for this
then you took my stabilisers
and you let me be free.

Heron Blue, above the ocean
Along the marshes and the shores,
What is it that you see, which concerns you so?

When the oceans rise - take flight, for you are free
To find new shelter along the inland seas;
Let your instincts be your guide
And you shall survive

But what of us, I ask:
Such fragile human beings we have become:
That we no longer know how to care for oursleves

Heron Blue asked: and whose fault is that?
You have failed to follow the ways of the land
And no longer trust your instincts to help you
Survive in this ever changing world.

It is true: we no longer remember the ways of the past
Or follow the teachings and guidance that were
Once freely given to us.

Our truths have vanished and we are lost.
Heron Blue please be our guide.

Pea
why do you seek beauty?
is it to balance that you feel ugly?

one found ugly in beauty
another found beauty in ugly

and who couldn't find anything in anything
being left out
outcasted

because you can't possibly
be so pure
you can't possibly be so pure
