I shouldn't have presented
a bandaid
because apparently
I wasn't good enough.

To change
to fundamentally rearrange
what you are,
or to alter the fit
just a tiny little bit

I don't know how to quite fit
in this skin I've been given,
so I take my time to slowly
       oh so slowly
cut it open,
figuring that maybe
it just needs some adjusting.
