Can I have this dance
Please my soul free my feet
Happy you was once
With the abundance of the universe you was in sync
Killing yourself over the half empty
When did you become such a fool
To open your eyes I would if you let me
And help you realise that the half empty is actually half full

Speak you now or
Forever hold your peace
Dare you not let her walk out that door
To love her is an opportunity another man wouldn't miss

Today i couldn't write
Not because I was out of ink, nay
Something just didn't feel right
I turned to my muse for inspiration
But still from her to my mind words I failed to invite

One day
One day I'll be gone
Away my soul will be blown
From head to toe will i wake up cold
And you shall sing it the will of God
From the furthest corner of the  world you shall arrive
I'm convinced to make sure that truly i no longer bear life

One day
One day I'll be gone
Away my soul will be blown
At my funeral you shall grace the public with tears, and in dark corners fill the air with gossip
Dirt on my name you shall smear, "hey, did you know that he accumulated  his wealth through devil worship"
In high spirits you shall sing, get intoxicated and cause a scene
In my coffin I'll lie still, thankful that I didn't write you in my will

One day
One day I'll be gone
Away my soul will be blown
On my grave side you shall yourself gather,
A stranger who claims to have been a close brother
Dust to dust you shall say
Alas, don't forget that every corpse has its day
Here lies a..., praises on my tombstone you shall write
Please omit not the criticisms you wrote on my life

Drench'd in the blood of mine friends
Drinking from the cup of mine enemies
Cities labour'd for, from sweat built
To smoke I bring, ,no remorse nor guilt
With kings dine do I, from a peasant's toils
I myself arose
Hang me, why, they do not
Though treason daily I commit under theirs nose

The curse of Prometheus upon them I brought
Except their livers i care for not, but their lungs I've always sought

Dear soulmate
No we haven't met
At least not yet
For all I know you could be a princess,
with a golden tiara and attendants
Or the daughter of a peasant,
uncouth and ill-bred in the sight others, but to me, nothing short of pleasant
No we haven't met
At least not yet

Dear soulmate
Last night I dreamt of you again,
a thousand dragons for you I had slain
On my heart you placed your hand,
beaming with joy, oh my fair lady was I glad!
Oh my fair lady was I glad!,
when to the beating of our hearts all night we danced
Fell on our backs and at the stars we gazed,
Oh! their resemblance to your eyes left me amazed
No, we haven't met
At least not yet

Dear soulmate
Beautiful becomes meaningless for it cannot describe you
Perfect ceases to exist for it fails to define you
The universe must have been the one that birthed you
Or an angel from heaven must have sent you
From porcelain clay God must have made you
With his own breathe, life, must have gave you

In my dreams I stare in your eyes
In your eyes I witness the sun rise
As the sun sets I picture you walking down the aisle
Oh daughter of a goddess, in your soul I would love to set sail
Oh daughter of a goddess, without fail, by your side i would love to grow old and frail
No, we haven't met
At least not yet

Dear soulmate
No, we haven't met
At least not yet

I
I said I understood why you were leaving me, I lied
I smiled as you waved goodbye, alone I cried
Real man don't shed tears, well not to I tried
But how could I not mourn for the love I knew had died...
