A face so lit
A smile so bright
I wonder why!

Something caught my eye
Two doodled stars on your arms
A reward for performing great
Stars are not out of reach
If YOU are the star
My son is the star in his class

Hands and legs clenched tight
You and me sit uptight
The bedsheet becomes a safety tent
Enclosing turmerics powerful scent
Circled in a misty atmosphere
Giving you the first time fear
Sweating off the cold
Undergoing a remedy thats centuries old
Inhaling steam - a home remedy for common cold

Life's journey a puzzle
Awaiting the pieces to dazzle
Few doth not seem to fit
Some an instant hit
In time pieces fall in place
Patience doth pays
Pieces of puzzle lost
A hole in heart the cost
As we breath our last
The puzzle of life never past

Scribbled some millions across the years
But this time I lay my pen carefully
Make the ink flow blissfully
Because its for you
A signature that holds a special responsibility
My first one as a parent on your school diary
One that will remain close to my heart dearly

It might sound weird
Unsure if anyone has ever heard
I pass your shadow always
Careful not to place my feet
I love your shadow too
Isn't that sweet!
