Simple poems I do create
Not for glory
Not for pain
For emotions
For expression
The most simple way
To say what I say
Is to say it
Straight on
Eloborate plays
No
Not today
Maybe another
For now I'll stay
I'll stay the same
And I will write
Simple little poems
That are long
Though somehow short
Revering all holy vessels
manifest and blessed
may this heart
held inside us
harbour
God's
Divine Light
May this heart
held inside us
learn to become
a chalice
for
our own
unconditional love
For all of our dear ones facing illness, and for all of us wishing
to offer the best of ourselves.

Even if it doesn't quite reach your eyes or touch the surface of your soul; smile
Because somewhere someone is waiting for that sign of happiness even if it's from a stranger; smile
Maybe it will be the start of something beautiful because a little brokenness goes a long way and in the depths of my broken soul, I hope that someday my smile saves someone
Smile
because even if your not saving yourself maybe you're saving someone else and perhaps that’s enough. Perhaps in this world, everything is turning a little too fast and the leaves are falling a little too much as I try to differentiate between what is and and what isn't and maybe time needs to slow down so I can smile
Smile
Because we are still breathing and the world is still turning
And the sun is still shining
And the poets are still writing
And maybe one day my smile might reach my eyes
And my eyes will light up brighter than the moon and stars
That gives this earth light in the darkness

So today I will smile

If only your arms
Held me true again
Our lips and
bodies entwined~
If we could remember
language once shared.
Find our rhythm divine

Yet we have climbed
these ravaged cliffs
Heartbreak Chasm
between~
A fragile bridge
of diminished connect
Crossed only in my dreams

Older now
in this state of suspense
To watch our love fall away~
A tender time for both of us
This loss of each
Precious day

This is about the loss of a long term,
once intimate, emotionally
committed and "forever"  relationship.
Amber, brushing hair away from forehead, is walking to her car.

Neighbor: "Hi Amber, Happy Columbus Day!"
Amber: "What day is it, again?"
Neighbor: "Columbus Day. Banks are closed, post offices, schools closed.
Amber(Brush-brush): "Oh yea, the guy that discovered Columbus, Ohio!"
Neighbor: "That's him."
Neighbor(to himself): "It never stops."
