I'm tired of beauty
incessantly meddling in my affairs

luring me to venture outside myself
revealing hidden radiance within

disguising life's dismal undercurrent
reducing it to a superficial veneer

randomly appearing by surprise
stubbornly eliciting a smile

performing alchemy on the mundane
dousing my awareness in the elixir of life

beauty...
the pulchritude of spirit...that's all it is...

Liam
driven and driving
to penetrate your darkness
to explore your depth
Today the fiery sun shines brightly,
Caressing the now radiant skin.
It has accepted Ice as his own.

My heart warms with fire.
Beyond the rising heights.
As I stand in the Sun.
From now on in life.

May the war come,
To my lifeline.
I will see it burn in return.

I tell you this..
Once a girl was frozen,
Now, She is warm..
I feel happy today.. As the sun had rose. All I could think about was him, my world.
Another day passed,
As I gaze at that door.
Staring at the pictures of us.

I wished those video chats,
Never ended for us.
As we talked for hours,
Comparing our hearts.

As I gaze at that door,
I wait for a signal.
A knock, a voice.
Telling me your home.
I wish he would see these poems that I write. They are truly from the heart..
As the Night is drawn,
In the spectacles of my mind.
I stand alone,
In the shadows of light.

My eyes turn to the moon,
Whose gaze is pallid and ghastly.
Now they shift,
Becoming Scarlet irsises.

I am a beast of the night,
The nocturnal moon is my call.
To summon from sleep,
And all.

Nocturnal forever.
A girl of the night.
I am the one in the shadows.
I fight for that right.
Rawr Night owl!!!
No guy and girl would EVER
want to watch a movie that had
no soundtrack
or go to a concert just to see
the people play their instruments.
Yes, you may claim to have music
as your hobby but many others are
extremely passionate about it too.
Without music, what would have
happened to Bach, Beethoven, Haydn,
Scarlatti, Clementi, Vivaldi, and others?
Saying "it's just music" is like saying
"it's just life."
Life is beautiful, passionate, tragic, comedic, playful, intense and even stressful sometimes.
Think about it.
Life and music go hand in hand.
Instead of saying "it's just music"
I urge you to say
**"let there be music!"
Sixteen year old girls hold
the answers to life.

They have ***
(with boys who have girlfriends,
across the front seat of an El Camino,
parked two houses down from her own,
where her parents await her return
no later than ten, unaware
that while they watch Jeopardy, their daughter's
hair rubs and frizzes against upholstery
that is older than her, and her head
occasionally bangs against the dark sidewalk
facing window, with a deep,
but gentle, thud)
and call it love.
