Let me take your heart
to where it should lie,
in a place that consists
of only you and I.

Let me take your heart
to where it should be,
in a world that exists
for only you and me.

Happy Birthday Ms.31!
I hope you have delightful fun.
Here’s a bell to ring and ring;
Until you see a beauty or a queen.
I might bring a mirror to turn to you,
Because you’re the one making my dreams come true.
Happy birthday Ms.31!
And I hope you’ll have delightful fun.
This is a poem I wrote for my mom when I was 10 years old; on her birthday. She made it until her 37th birthday with a smile; although she was suffering with lupus. She would be 47 on March 19th.
Love you always <3

Unconditional

Is there love for another?
Much like this?
One's that unconditional,
unrestricted.
One so free...
That skeptical eyes would miss.

The beauty in such a commitment,
can't be quantified in greens or gold.
Unbound by petty materialism...
That jingles and folds.

It's invaluable...
Only to the ones who would see
and acknowledge it.
It's coveted only by those
who fearlessly dare
to embrace it.

So...

Strive for unconditional love.
For it is the greatest gift,
anyone could receive
and bestow.
For it will be the sun
that fires
the beats in your heart.
For it is the abundant glow
cascading...
From the moon's
limitless flow.

Love should leave you feeling full,
Never empty or cold.
You tended to my well so well,
So I am yours, adore.
A water-based creation
Should have fresh-flowing hydration,
Within tangible flesh and
Replenishing the Spirit, yes,
You leave my skin soft.

The Dedpoet
Here we dilute ourselves into many
Things to stop our world
In the middle of its course:

Your skies are caught in dreams,
You bloom only flowers you recognize.
It hides the truth between
Your ears,
It hides the selfishness of your poetry,
The sighs of life in your grey solitude,
Your tongues are thirsting for something,
And you have become a pop cultural
Verse of repetition,
And the world will catch you
From behind your skies,
You can no longer hide in your abyss.

And to state what I mean unpoetical,
I see the hate rising in a tide,
The world I know ignored in this forum
   Of intelligence, hate gaining tide.
Of people ignoring the bigger picture,
   Where are you?
I see nothing of the tsunami that
   Has overtaken the country here
In this place where poetry and political
Topics mesh more than you know,
   This is your voice,
I implore you to change your flow.
   We live beneath this destiny,
    Beautiful Earth,
But if we stop our words,
Are our words even of worth?
Many, many of the poets I have studied have political opinions hidden in their poetry, not just pretty words, but intelligence and beauty mixed to truly express oneself in a world of simplistically hateful expressions.
