A lost black and white picture
-Misplaces forever
A protruding tree in a pond
-Endlessly drowning

But I showed you a strong face
Yes, I showed you a lie
I thought for you to leave in peace
It was necessary for my burden
To find a place to hide

Home in your eye veered north
A rebel endeavor to outrun
The fire that is your skin
Like a shooting star

A star that had to die
For my unremarkable eye
To catch a glimpse of light
Teaching me how to say

-Goodbye

And she loved all the things that tore her down.
Often left empty and alone,
she said she’s not broken.
She has flown into agonizing
fire and danced in perilous storms.
Her bond with her rhymes freed her faithful soul.
.

Death is a loss of life,
A soul liberated, true!

But death is also pain, sadness and agony,
For those left behind.

Death is a death,
be it in
My house,
My City,
My State,
My County,
My continent,
Or yours!

I can't run away from that pain,
I can't turn a blind eye to loss thats not mine.

It's humanity that binds me to the suffering,
It's mankind that weaves us together.

It's more than religion,
nationality,
tribe
and
creed,
It's WE together.

Covid bought a lot of pain,
But it united the world like never before.
