tragic storm

drained and left into pieces
heart had torn into shreds
thoughts got tangled up and twisted
confounded by an unclear thinking
why am i still not good enough for you
but who would ever love a storm
that's roughly vicious and disastrous

i burn at the touch
of your stained hands
how dare you
in that moment
i forget how to forgive you
i forgive me just to forget you
i was enough
i am enough

i remember how i wished
your hands would be on fire
every time you touch all your lies
your hands brought them
back to life
on me
i forget how to not be a stranger in my own skin
you became a stranger in yours to forget
i was enough
i am enough

in a fleeting moment
i let myself believe
you were homesick
you knocked once
twice
thrice
and then you left
you forget how to try
you try to forget
that i was enough
i am enough

Imagery
Symbolism
Some of us have never heard of meter
Imagine this
A day and age
When poetical expression became base

I have feelings
And so do you
In a quick temperamental flame
Writing it down
Can never mean
That it is poetry

So avoid it
Or destroy it
Calculated words to fit the verse
Instead just say
Or just complain
Denying the works of great masters

I matter
Shouldn't you
Our voice becoming clouds to cover out the sun

Ain't it strange how
The things we need so much
Become the things that hurt us most

You get what you give
So I give you my love
A philosophical take on how we should treat each other
