I find peace only in your arms,
The love that i embrace,
The caress and compassion it takes,
What a heavenly feeling,

Your abhor, your love,
All yield the same outcome,
My soul doesn't take no for an answer,
I can wait for you a month, a year and even a century if that what it takes.

predators of the soul
strike at the unexpected hour
having stalked their prey
for days and weeks and months

suddenly
the sun looks wan
and you know
they are there
waiting

when they attack
it’s almost a relief
and yet
the struggle is
for life
or death

the beast of the jungle
is very strong

it is that other side
of your core
that rears its head
in dark moments

You must begin early
while it is cool and your head clear
discernment, a sharpened tine
probing the rocky darkness
for all things latent and destructive.

Be aware that the velvet sage
of the leaves belies their power
to take over every space, remember
roots burrow deep, anchoring in
fissures we don’t even know exist.

You must delve as close
to the origin as possible
or the **** you think eradicated
will bide its time, germinating
in the still secret ground

waiting for light
to penetrate the moist earth
waking the sprout
who voraciously pushes up and out
a curled blemish

in your otherwise carefully tended garden.

Lorraine day
When tomorrow starts without me
And no longer do I see
If the sun should rise
Then find your eyes are
Filled with tears for me
Do not let your heart be troubled
Nor be filled with dismay
While thinking of the many things
We didn't get to say

For I know how much you love me
As much as I love you
I only hope you realise
How much I'll miss you too

When tomorrow starts without me
Don't think we're far apart
As that's not true
I'm still right there
Next to your beating heart

I promise I haven't left you
It's just a journey that's begun
Life holds so many facets
The earth is only one

Just think of me as resting
From all suffering pain and fears
In a place of warmth and comfort
Where there are no days or years

When tomorrow starts without me
Smile for me ~just look above
Have faith ~for I'm in heaven
Surrounded by gods love
I often get asked to write for funerals as well as other occasions as people often find it hard to know what to read out this is one I wrote recently as a Christian I do not fear death and know his everlasting love is overwhelming
