Nobel Prize
Rafaldini Nov 2020
Under this beaten skin
I can see a newer blueprint
Waiting for the ashes
Waiting some more crashes
To wear a new face when it win

They say easy come and easy go
But I think it can't be real, tho
I saw some decent public man in a game show
And if karma is a *****, should we stop to vote?

I am going away with a new disguise
I am warning my friends before someone dies
But the purple drank don't let they realize
We can't trust anyone behind a ******* tie
'cause they are faking and smuggling 'till the Nobel Prize

I see some fake-*** sophists at the morning show
Droping mind over mind like a domino
They could shave up their ***** to look like Foucault
And keep their cynical smile while everyone blows

The comedians were our source of truth
Now they're offering jokes for a pair of fancy shoes
People used to have band shirts, now they have tattoos
We were brilliant, now we are just turning screws

I am going away with a new disguise
I am warning my friends before someone dies
But the purple drank don't let they realize
We can't trust anyone behind a ******* tie
'cause they are faking and smuggling 'till the Nobel Prize

Outside inward I feel
otherwise backward reveal
sanitize my verse and seal
decompress and sell it as a pill

There are words of hate
into words of pain
building words of regret
through words in vain

my life our life
it just doesn't really matter
fake parts of the silk
fading moisture on milk
a gentle
dreadful

Ode to Crazy Lou
Rafaldini Nov 2020
Someday someone will maybe say
That luck comes once and then walks away
Like a wild animal or the spring
Washing away quickly the entire joy it brings
But I think this is not the case
'cause Crazy Lou had his own fragile grace
And always looked like a man of genius by fate

Having a blue halo and his own unique gift written on his face
He seemed to me like a child that already had what it takes
But it was just another mistake
'cause my boy suffered from a huge lack of faith

While I tried to reach some basic chords
While I tried to make something against all odds
He was mastering the strings without asking for rewards
And I thought one day, while I would still leaning on boards
He would shine bright on our hometown billboards
I thought while my fingertips ached
Suppressing the envy that made me feel like a snake
But I guess it was just another mistake
'cause our boy suffered from a huge lack of faith

The time has run and how had we grown
And we found ourselves again like complete unknowns
Ups and downs, highs and lows, I'd seen by my own
Those kinds of things that drop boys into adulthood alone
But my friend seemed to grieve as same as when we are little
Like a beach with an unfinished tidal
And I said he needed some new bruises
'cause we just know better after some losses
And he said don't point at me and I won't point at you
And that about his feelings I just couldn't have a clue
That's the history of how I lost my mate
That's the history of how we can't soundlessly hate
That's the history of how black eyes turn into black hole hearts
And how solid we look while breaking into parts
I had seen his golden soul among all the great
Twist into umbrage walking hollow whose only goal is to castrate
But I guess it was just another mistake
'cause our boy suffered from a huge lack of faith
