i gravitate towards you
like a dusky desolate deposit of dirt
to its glimmering counterpart
of lapis lazuli, ridden with veins of gold

i reach and reach
to no avail
and i watch as you spin quickly away
stumbling and straightening before slipping into another stagnant spiral

how do i catch up to one
so quickly moving amongst the stars?
celestial bodies they may be
but i am a mere moon, reflecting light for your gaze

i can feel my muscles expanding and stretching
tendons taut with tension and
heart pounding and pounding away at the pavement
as i move forward and grasp outwards to you

but a mere millimeter of air becomes solid
and my knuckles crash against nothingness
instead of the warmth of your palm
which i'm not truly sure was even there to begin with

the darkness of this dying universe
is colder and more derelict than i have the capacity
to understand; and so i curl inwards
alone amongst pebbles and freely floating matter

because a moon without a planet
is simply an orb named vesta
or a goddess called hestia:
frequently forgotten and oft omitted
by those who claim to be scholars of myth, keepers of lore
and by extension, the very children she presided over
overseer of life and hearth nevermore.

Sir Walter Raleigh
Passions are liken’d best to floods and streams:
The shallow murmur, but the deep are dumb;
So, when affection yields discourse, it seems
The bottom is but shallow whence they come.
They that are rich in words, in words discover
That they are poor in that which makes a lover.

In the still of morning you hear his approach
by the rustling of the leaves.
Like magic you feel him touch your skin
with the kiss of a gentle breeze.
He’s painfully shy, for though you look
you never see his face.
He’s a rover, a rambler, a gypsy spirit
ever moving place to place.
But in rare moments, growing quite bold,
he grabs you  and starts to spin.
You lose yourself to youthful glee
and go dancing with the wind.
You dip, you whirl,  spin round and round,
you get so dizzy you fall to the ground.
Still he’s teasing, twirling here and there.
Tugging your shirt and tasseling your hair.
I hope dear friend that once in your life
you will feel the joy within.
That comes from simply letting go
and dancing with the wind.

When our gazes fasten together--
our beings recklessly careen forward
a collision course
rivaling the longing of two magnetic forces

& when we touch.....
        and we fall,
escaping into All,
falling falling
             everything         sails        past
very                rabbit hole-esque
and we vibrate
in the wind--
         whirling around

g weeks forward
through time
adrenaline minds heat--
          boiling          we....      explode      ....into everything
Dematerializing
into quarks quaking
primal energies of the universe

          Orbiting each other
          the rest of existence
                 orbits us

& we dance--(left--right--right--left)...
                twirl
forming worlds within other planes within

& we dance--(to--our--once--beating--hearts)...
          beating hearts
              echo
throughout this light
                 we have
                embraced.
Here's a conversation I had with Maighdlin Maureen Kelly...... verbatim.

We can only afford to contain our fires
Turning to... Soothsaying waters

Soothsaying rain, empty out your bottles
Irrigate from our heart puddles
Let flow into a singular well
An oasis where our hearts would kiss and silently tell

Submerge us as one being
The water milling and licking
Kissing our warm skins
Wash away as it purges and cleans

Cleansing waters, wash and give birth
Rid of the sadness to reveal the earth

Of this earth, you and I are one
Looking up to idolise the same sun
Wedged between... This expanse of redundant land
Pining for the mixing of our sands

We... We are made of the same
Earth, dirt and gravel placed in different games
Bearing similar stones that beat
Beating away the seconds that flit

Earth biding time... Stay on ground
Let wind take your souls to realms unbound

Casting our souls into the wind
Carved hearts on flags we pinned
Kites of love set to catch the air
Wind be kind... Carry us easy with care

Gift us your gentle airy fingers
As you would the sails of hopeful seafarers
Together we would dance and billow
Frolic upon your light feathered pillow

Ride the wind, on wings that never tire
Tiny bites that keep us afire

Never needing a flint to set alive the flame
Stoking the fire that burns on the same
Rhymes and reasons be our fuel
Combat logic and sense in a cerebral duel

Fight in our eyes, subdued are the blazes
Embers dormant behind glassy tearful gazes
Spark them to life with passionate heat
Fan them to rage till the time our hearts meet

But still... We must contain our fires
With nothing but soothsaying waters

Autumn
let the wind carry the weight upoon your shoulders away,
let the wind blow new air in that gorgous hair,
let the sun shine into your skin, let it seep so deep your skin cells dance with it,
let the grass nible at your ankles, let it support you,
let the water show you the way to freedom, let it wash away the **** upon your soul,
let the wind carry your heart,
let it lead you to love,
let it let you forgive thoose you hate,
let the wind simply be the wind.....
Sometimes it's ok to ask for help.

I always suspected electricity
Ran rampant through my veins
To make me dazed and dizzy
But unable to sit still
It made me prone to flights of fancy
So I left giddy trails of sparks
Blazing proof of my restlessness
That once brightly caught your eye

Once your gaze had found my own
My moods came in swooning flares
And you crackled alongside me
Filling my aching, empty silence
With shiny, blessed noise
We burned so beautifully
With my electric fire
And your trilling declamations
Light and sound intertwining
Like thunder that had finally caught up with its lightning

It seemed like Nature's order
A completion of the whole
Two halves that followed each other
Unthinkingly and automatically

So one day when I found silence
It felt like Earth itself was splitting

Panicked, I burned more brightly
Stoked the fire just in case
I feared that I had dimmed
And been the cause of this new quietness
So when I still heard nothing
I thought my efforts insufficient
And I ran my highest currents
Until my wires nearly melted
Thinking the sun and I were comparable
And anticipating a response

And still I heard no trilling
No crackling at my side
So I wondered if perhaps
I had shined beyond your limits
Swiftly, I contracted
Reined in my flares and doused the fire
Thinking sudden darkness
Might just shock you into sound

I finally heard the faintest popping
Not quite the rending that I wanted
But a break from quiet all the same
Afraid of spoiling the moment
I leashed my electricity
Kept myself dim so I could hear you
Though I felt the writhing beneath my skin

It finally became unbearable
So I flashed like wild lightning
Lashed out and struck the ground
Hoping for your thunder
A dark and roiling storm
Swirling raindrops and clouds colliding
And deep, ugly noise

All I wanted was your thunder
But in the end
It was only me yelling
Screaming out for downpours
Alone
Listening to my own echoes
Waiting for you to harmonize

In the end
I was always waiting
Wondering when you'd chosen silence
Wondering why I'd let you dim me
Wondering how it was we'd ever *burned

Like the ocean so wide and powerful,
with it's waves rolling in
and crashing against the rocks,
With the same force as my admiration
towards the man I want to get to know.
I want to know and feel his strength,
Feel the power of his touch
crashing against my soul.
I want to feel his passions,
his desires and the dreams
that he has, like the waters
that go on forever and ever.
I want to feel his tender touch
caressing every inch of my body
like the kiss of the sun over the ocean horizon,
Faithfully each morning.
I want him to know that with each and every
word spoken is like a ripple that spreads
throughout the deepest waters.
For the day is coming closer,
The nights are getting longer,
In the desire to be near you.
I dream of that moment when
the waters of the ocean and the rocks
of the cliffs finally meet...
In a storm of passion.
His every touch will be like a soft
caress to the rocks of the cliffs below.
With each encounter will be like the waters
stirring under the ocean so deep.
With each kiss will be like a storm
building furiously down beneath the earth,
and deep down beneath my soul.
When the time comes for him to take my heart,
my soul and my body to make love to me,
it will be like a wild storm out of control.
With each touch, caress, and kiss he bestows
upon me, will be like giant waves, crashing
vigorously with so much power and strength
against the rocks, like nature intended it to be.
Just like I want him to completely take me...
then like the calm after the storm, I want to lie
in his arms and hear the pounding of his heart,
like the ocean waves calming and soothing to my soul.
