A smile can be

Loving this life
Is easy to do

To be confused

To savor the rain

Mental
State

With every step 
We risk to take
Our spirit's find
Ourselves awake
We feel deceived
We feel alive
We feel defeated
Buried, defied
Our disappointments
Still reside
Keeping us 
From joy
Hiding
The 
Light
Extinguishing
What
Shines
Inside

Deep within
Our bodies lie
Our greatest guide
Our greatest stride
Resonating
In our spines
Answers to questions
God will find
If just to ask
In prayer
Of mind

Without the darkness
We are not light
Without the dimming
We are not bright
Without the anger
Where is delight?
